But even though Bob is a simple and humble pleo, he has inadvertently stumbled his way into saving the day (and Christmas) a number of times, resulting in his being knighted and made ruler over his fellow pleos. Sir Bob (a title Bob is too embarrassed to use) was knighted by King Teddi and Queen Salli (the rulers of the realm of Pleopia) in January of 2008 after saving Christmas and rescuing Santa from the clutches of the evil Dr. Mel. Bob was awarded the title of the Knight of the Order of Pizza in recognition of his bravery in defeating Dr. Mel and made Lord over the small fiefdom of Weedovia. And with the subsequent disappearance of the King and Queen, that leaves Bob as the only ruler in all of Pleopia. Bob does his best to do his part and protect the interests of his fiefdom's populace as a member of the House of Lords (which only met once), but as politics go, Bob doesn't get involved much. He's more likely to be found hanging out at the pizza parlor than in his castle, and the only court he holds in the castle grounds goes by the name of "tennis". And even though Bob is a knight, he has no military intentions. While basically a pacifist Bob believes as in the immortal words of Bill and Ted (if you have to ask, don't bother), "Be excellent to everyone, and party on!" Bob’s favorite pastime is eating, and his favorite food is pizza. He frequents the town’s one restaurant, Fred’s Pizza Pleo, where they even named a pizza after him: pepperoni and Italian sausage, with onions, garlic, and jalapeno. Bob’s best friend is Sally the town’s librarian. Bob lives in his castle on a hill to the north overlooking the town of Weedovia. Bob has a pet cow named Moo. Bob collects hair brushes. He was given a hairbrush as a gag gift by Grumpy (as pleos don’t have hair). Bob realized that since pleos don’t have hair, that a hairbrush, being useless, must be a rare thing, and therefore a valuable gift. So Grumpy’s joke backfired as Bob saw the gift as being the most valuable thing he has, and so he started collecting them. |
