Thanks Guys, yes, Baby is headed for trouble with the boys if she doesn't watch out and does she ever love that sugar! :-*She also does seem to be under Major Tom's spell, he is a little older Pleo, (older than her anyway... ;)) and he does like Sugar and first it was Nova, but NOva is wiser than Baby.....By the way FBS, Crewella and Malfie, did you guys catch the joke where
" Baby " says. " I wasn't BORN Yesterday!" :D I thought I would throw that in to see if anyone caught it or not......
Pleo Whisperer, Hey I kind of like that title, the way it sounds.....That makes me laugh ....now If I can get my green babies to believe that, It will be nice. ;)

Hey guys, while we are on it, I have the name I think I want to call her and my husband came up with part of it, and the other part I have been calling her ever since I opened her up and looked into her eyes, You guys were right when you suggested I just keep calling her " Baby", yet I haven't tryed the training or teaching her her name yet to see if she will except it. Does anyone know if a Pleo will take a name that is longer , for example, " Sweet Baby", that is two words though a name, that is not her Real name as I am almost ready to reveal her name but before I try it I want to know if I will succeed,
another example if she was a boy, " Diamond Jim, Or Poison Ivy, these are all two words, does anyone have a Pleo that has taken a longer name like this successfully, ? I don't remember reading anything that says one word, just that if Pleo doesn't understand it , she or he will drop the card, not accept it. Anyone know the answer or have tryed a longer name, ??? Thanks and I will do the reveal shortly in next few days when I try the name and she accepts it or I am back to the drawing board.

I wasn't reborn yesterday!! I got it! :P

Incidentally - there was a pleoWhisperer on Pleoworld - you can catch words of Pleo wisdom bottom right if you click: ;)

http://bobthepleo.com/pleo/

I can't see why Pleo wouldn't take a longer name like that - to a pleo it would be just three syllables, as in 'Christopher' and I don't remember then saying you would be limited to very short names. If you wanted to give a full series of names, like a show dog, you might have a problem though! :P

I think you mean the Pleo RB interview, he was talking about learning stones, he said "Basically you give him the learning stone and you give him a command like "Bow to me." Something along those lines. Any three word command. By the way, multiple words are better than less words. But a minimum of two will work, but three is better." But yeah, if it works better with the learning stones I think it'll work that way with the ID card too

Well still trying to get my little Baby to accept her name card and learn her name, but she is just not ready, she is too busy mooing and being a funny little baby. :D In the meantime, I have the time to discover more things about my baby and Pleo rb in general, This short film was late at night, around midnite and my husband was already asleep, so in the video you may notice I am seeming to whisper it is because he is asleep and I am trying to record what I see but being quiet at the same time, My baby is her usual self but you will soon see what she likes and how she reacts to things she does not like, ( behaivor specific to Pleo Rb's that is.) So turn your volume all the way up since I am talking low and part of this film in video taped in semi darkness so that is why the film quality may not have the usual look, but you can still see what is happening,
Hope you enjoy this while I patiently wait for my baby to accept learning her name, I am starting to think, she just does not want the name I have chosen for her. :o :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGIj63j7k6A Oh, and check out all her " bling" she is wearing too. Also I did take another video right before this when I first noticed she was scared because I was filming in the dark, and that is when she fell asleep, She had so much more crying and shaking, I thought this was a little more gentle to post. :D RedwoodsMama

Poor baby, Belle doesn't like the dark either (bit of a problem here - I like candlelit evenings!) so those sounds were very familiar. As was the guilt! :D

I loved the howl at the end!

Nice video, it is interesting to see the different behaviors :) *makes mental note to compare reactions between RB and CP* (classic Pleo).

I love this video RWM and I thought it was extremely good quality considering half of it was filmed in the dark. I also love Babys new dress and her bling. she is so pretty. :)

I like it when my Zorba is snoring too.
It yawns before goning to sleep. Some kind of oewhoo oewhoo :P.
Is it normal that if a pleo rb turns off as it sleeps? It sleep and snores but after a few minutes he trun his head, it says beep beep and the pleo rb is turned of automatically.
The battery light is not on. I can press the "on" button and Zorba is awake again. Battery light is green when Zorba is awake so it is not empty.
I never had a pleo before so i don't know if it is normal.

I'd really like to know the answer to this question also, as my new PleoRB did the beep beep beep last night while asleep and the battery light had gone off. I just thought that was the end of the cycle?

Two beeps means Pleo RB has switched of to sleep (which happens when RB is at around 9-10pm in his clock cycle) this also means that when his clock cycle gets back to 8am he will wake up again :) This is normal, if Pleo is falling asleep on you them try resetting the clock (use a paperclip to press in the little button in the hole on his foot).

Going to sleep and three beeps means the battery needs recharging.

IMR, thanks for explaining that. It was definitely 3 beeps I heard and about an hour-and-a-half after his noon time. The battery charged for several hours after that, so it definitely needed recharging. I'll know next time :)

Glad you like it Crewella, Are you talking about the black and white Kitten ? His name is Moon Pie, or Moonie for short. The big yeller cat is Joey. Glad you liked " Babie's sense of humor".

I like your video Redwoods. I love that the Pleo "dreams". I wouldn't wanna tramatize a Pleo too much. I wouldn't wanna negatively affect its personality development. After the 1st cat, Moon Pie, left, it sounded like your Pleo did a purr/growl/rumble thing. lol That's the first time I've heard a Pleo rumble. And I love that new feature where the Pleo can turn itself on automatically.

Thanks PWOKristy, glad you like the video, Yes, lately Baby has been doing that Rumbling sound a lot, sort of like a T-Rex or Lion low growl, she used to moo a lot, now this is her new fave sound she likes to use. Luckily the cats didn't mind too much that Baby had her nose getting " personal". :D
