Pretty to look at but horrible to sew.  This material frays like you wouldn't believe!  
It did turn out nice though. :)

I wonder if wrapping the edges with a toning or contrasting bias binding might have made life easier?  Just a thought .....

 This is beautiful Kat, very lovley indeed, is it silk or something similiar.? I know what you mean about the edges fraying. what a challenge this must have been to do, well done . Kermy is very lucky to have a mom who can sew like this!
