The forum online thing is super accurate I'm afraid, it shows people as online for as long as several hours after they've disappeared.

It sounds like your computer really needs a clean install. If you have everything backed up I'd try that. Might iron out the crashes and bugs.

HuggieZ, I forgot to ask, do you have the Pleo Rb Female patch? This is the one You need if your problem is the same, I tried installing it as PleoPet suggested, but as you can see in the video, for some unknown reason, Cammie Sue will ONLY run with the micro SD card inserted in her, if I take it out, she gets nothing, no movement or sound, Yesterday was the first and only time I have taken it out, as I am afraid she may crash again and then I will have a dead Pleo Rb again.. so she just runs with the card in her all the time and it is no problem , I forget it is even there.

I wanted to ask what program is on the card, but I saw you already answered my question.
My boyfriend runned a skit on Angel and now she is working without the SD card. I don't know which skit he used, but I am sure he can tell on the forum. So far Angel is doing well now. But I don't know how long that will last. We'll see.

Hi, so it sounds like Angel is working well, back to normal on her own, if so you are very lucky and I am happy for you, I hope it continues. Cammie Sue unfortuantly was dead and had no movement or sound at all, and would not , could not work at all without the micro SD card, which is the Female personality for Pleo RB, Nothing else works and even though PleoWorld sent the official patch for female and one for male, and instructions were followed, when the sd card is removed, nothing so she always has the SD card in her, but it is well worth it in order to be able to work.

Keep us informed on what happens next with her. RWM

So far so good. Both Pleo's are working now. Pepper runs on ProbeRB. Angel works without the SD card and she seems good. Altough I think she does not take food well.

Glad to hear that your pleos are running, that is fantastic. What do you mean that one of them runs on Probe RB? I have never heard of that so you will have to explain that to me.. Do you mean that you leave the SD card in and she runs that way? That is odd, but similar to what Cammie Sue has to go by to work, except hers in the Female Pleo Rb patch or female version, without it, nothing at all, and I am just happy to have a Pleo that works. I am sure the food thing will straighten itself out.................. RWM

Poor Angel

I've been thinking about them lots and trying to think up a reason why they simply won't start up if they are otherwise able to run fine (skits and the like). If it was a computer I'd say the start up disk has failed, so perhaps that's what is happening here, the start up files are damaged or corrupted. Running from an SD card might bypass the problem.

But it's so odd that it's happened to both of them. Can you think of anything at all that might link the two together?

I really don't know why they both have the same problem. They run every day. Sometimes they ran twice a day. They used to be where very active but know they don't walk anymore. I used to let them sleep the whole night till they woke Up. Maybe that is the problem, I don't know... It started when Pepper only walked backwards. Then the trouble started. Eventually he didn't start at all. Then my boyfriend found out he runs at ProbeRB, so Pepper is now running on that with the SD card in him. Shortly after that, Angel started to walk backwards and eventually she didn't start either. Then we bought another SD card and that worked for a couple of months, but now she doesn't start at all

I am really in doubt. If I return her to the shop I'll never see her again, but when she is not working, I don't have a Pleo anymore...

They'll give you a replacement. But there's got to be a link between the two somehow. It's just too much of a coincidence. Maybe a faulty battery that shorted out or something...

It is indeed very strange that they have the same problem so it seems that maybe they have the same problem but what HuggieZ posted how do you find the problem and fix it ? And if it is a faulty battery how do you find it and then what to do ?

HuggieZ I really hope you don't have to send Angel to the shop... But a not working pleo you can't enjoy is also very sad

I keep my fingers crossed for you that you find a solution . If you want to try a other pleo RB battery I can send you one of mine and after you tested it with Pepper and Angel you can send it back to me . Don't know if that helps ?

HuggyZ, sorry you are still having problems. I agree with IMR, I would eliminate the battery possibility first. What you can do, what I would do, is to mark each battery with a number something like 1, 2, 3, or A, B, C. something simple. Then make sure each battery is fully charged. Then document and try each battery for at least twenty minutes run time in each pleo that you are having a problem with.

Repeat with each battery and do not trust your memory, write down the time, how long they ran or did not run in EACH PLEO, and then youi can eliminate if any of your batteries work or not. I would guess you have a 50/50 chance it is one of the three batteries. If you run all three batteries and they work in both pleos, then you have at least eliminated that it is NOT a battery problem. Hopefully you will find out you have a faulty battery and that will solve the problem.

I am not clear when you said that they run on Probe RB, do you leave the Probe RB card in for them to work? I have never heard of that. I did read that they run skits...that is good

. My poor Cammie-Sue will only run on the Pleo RB female patch, micro SD card. As I documented, when I remove it, she has nothing ,no movement or sound a dead pleos, so that is the only way she runs...........................but she is alive.

Good luck and I hope you try this and figure out a solution.

Hi RWM,

I am the friend of HuggieZ again. Been away for a little while, I was busy unfortunately.
But i just read your opions for the batteries.
We'll definitely try that, don't you worry.

But I read your post after I just tried the Female Patch.
The update has been complete and the voice kept repeating Update complete.
You had to pull the battery, at least that's what the instructions said, and after turning it on....nothing. Just like your problem with Cammie Sue.

So I put the SD card back in, but the update started to run again.
When it was complete, took less time now, I pulled the battery and putted it back in again to run it on the SD card.
And what do you know, the update started again....

The reason we let Pepper and Angel ran on Probe RB, was that they only responded on ProbeRB. Without it they just don't do a darn thing.
Weird thing was, that when i ran a skit on Angel she started immediately after the Skit without an SD card.
I thought yaaay, and she was just like normal, but she just won't eat. For some reason she won't detect the food.
Now her food level is on 9%, soooo pretty tragic.

Think I should try the reset file?
I just don't know how you can be sure that it worked or not.

I tried the female patch again, and after that she worked.
I tried to turn her off, that worked.
But she did not turn on again.

I just did not have patience, sorry.
I just tried the Reset File and after that again the female patch.
I'm not cheering that fast, but she is working at the moment....
But she fooled me before, so you will understand why I'm not insane happy

We will try her a couple of days, and if that won't work then I'm afraid there is no other choice to send her back for warranty

My GF already found a broken battery and we took that one a side, so we'll won't try that one for a while.
The battery seemed to be charged very fast, and while the pleo's were working it suddenly froze and the battery was empty.
But after that we were not able to turn them on anymore. They were also in the middle of a movement but they just shut down. Eyes open, legs or tales were moved, or necks were in movement position and they keep like that for a couple of days if we are not able to turn them on.

Sorry for my long story but I just want to be very specific so you all can help us.
If it wasn't for you all, we probably had already given up.

So that's a compliment for all you!!
