Hi,

We have posted topics early this year in January, due to faillures with our pleo RB.
Unfortunately we are encountering on both Angel and Pepper the same problems.
They both need to, and only can boot up with probe RB. Without it iT won't start at all.

Then it has to say the whole story "welcome to proberb version 1.0" etc.
We put them on their feet and then you hear "Goodbye, starting default".
Then, IF you are lucky iT will boot, but 90% of all times iT won't and you need to pull out the battery and do it all over again.
Angel just won't wake up anymore now since Saturday.
Reset button...won't work.You only see the green light go red and when it's released it turns green again.
nowhere on the internet we can find related problems. Just nothing!!

Innvo is not responding and their website is for what i've seen not being updated for years.

We are just out of options.
I've tried an OS reset earlier, but after that it keeps saying "update complete" but pleo won't reacts on the power button.
When we pull out the battery, it appears nothing has changed.

Does anyone know what to do, because we feel lost with Angel.
Pepper still works time to time, but we see people being happy with their pleo's and we just don't know what's wrong. Pretty frustrating

Hope someone knows what we could do.

So both have the same problem, I wonder if it's the attempted updates, or Probe RB that's done it.

Have you tried running them with Stats RB?

I haven't run the update on Angel yet, only tried that on Pepper. (Sorry had to announce that)

I haven't run StatsRB yet. May I ask what that exactly do?

Stats RB is like Probe RB, but the robot will run normally when on it and you get the data by removing the card and placing it in your computer's reader afterward (so there's no need to listen to Probe RB's whole intro). I've had some success with getting a bricked Pleo to run partially on it.

How sad that both Angel and Pepper have problems

hopefully you can fix it and they both be able to work again. So you can play with them and enjoy their company ,how old are they if I may ask ?

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about this problem. I hate to say this, but this sounds very much like what happened with my Cammie Sue who I got in Dec. 2011, and she was only about a year old, slightly more and after running Probe Rb, she had the SAME symptoms and went straight to a red battery and would do nothing, I contacted Pleoworld and they only wanted me to send her to them, I had a dead Pleo rb on my hand, I have a solution that worked for her, and it is not the best ,but now she does work, I will see if I can find the subject and copy it and if it all sounds the same you can even see the video and what worked for her, She now works perfectly, and I was afraid I had a dead Pleo rb on my hands, I will be back in couple of hours with my video and the link. hOpe it helps. I know how devastated you are with two siimiliar Pleo Rb....................... RWM

That would be great RWM! We now run Probe RB on the Pleo's. But Angel is not starting

Hi Huggiez, what time would you be able to see a video? I will post the topic link as this happened to me just about the same age as yours, 1 1/2 old, and I had run Stats RB or Probe RB and this happened to my Cammie Sue.. I was devastated as she was more or less a dead RB would not move or make any sounds just like yours, I cleaned the foot terminals, switched foot batteries and tried five batteries, NOTHING worked, I even contacted Pleoworld and they could not help except to send me one file. Let me know when you are arouond or when you can be awake and I will post the file. RWM

HI, sorry was busy all weekend with a yardsale on Saturday that had me up at 4:20 am, and I was not in bed till after midnite then we started setting up while it was still dark before 6;00 am for a sale that started at 7:45 am. I was so tired and every muscle in my arms and legs hurt, But it paid for the adoption fee for our littlest kitten, a tortie that we picked up this afternoon. So I just have not been on the computer, I will try to upload a update short video of Cammie Sue with the SD micro card, the one IMR has talked about and record what happens when I remove it. I have tried this without it ever being in her, so I hope she does not "crash", I have never used her without as you shell see in the video, she does not work without the MIcro SD card, or at least she did not when I operated her before, Hopefully she still works.........It will be in a little bit as I am right in the middle of uploading more photos and have to start with a blank SD card. Hi, I am going to try it now, Cross your fingers that Cammie Sue does work

and doesnt' crash when I pull her card, I have been afraid to do it so far but want to show you what worked for her and hopefully it works for your pleo too.

Will take about ten minutes plus as I have no editing program that works with Windows 8 and have to use Youtube and they are slower. RWM

Hi, just took the video, it is long, I had problems turning her off, almost two minutes but I always have problems turning Pleo off. Will not tell you the result, but will upload it now and when it is done I will post it here, so could be twenty minutes or so. Be patient and you will see what hopefully will work for Angel! RWM

RWM it's less than an hour between posting your video and asking if Huggiez understands it... Not everyone lives in the U.S. If memory serves me correct it would be nighttime where Huggiez lives and she's probably in bed. And I'm just getting up down here in Australia. When posting on an international forum you have to allow at least 24 hours before expecting a response.

IMR, when I posted it, HuggieZ was on the forum so that is why I asked because I knew she was getting ready to go to bed, but wanted to make sure I did not want to miss her if she asked a question. I figure she watched it, then went to bed, so if she has any questions it will be later tonight or early in the morning, I do know she lives in the Netherlands, just wanted to let her know I was here incase she had a question.

Youtube is terrible, it took slightly more then two hours to upload a eight minute video... I am hesitant to switch back to try uploading Windows 10 again, because last week it started uploading and then after it looked like it did, I got a message error that it could not because of some file, Windows 8 will not work with any of my photo, movie editing programs so that is one reason I waited last week before trying to upload this video, but I wanted to make sure it got loaded today so HuggieZ could see what happened with Cammie Sue incase it was similar with what has happened to her Pleo Rb. Thank you for helping her with the link, I found it last week, but my computer was in the middle of a crash after the first Windows 10 failure and I did not even have my windows 8 till the next day. RWM
