In the zoo they do have to have their nails clipped

But in the wild they are worn down naturally as they dig for food (they like roots) their teeth are similar to a rodents and grow constantly, in the wild they are worn down by the food they eat but sometimes in captivity it is necessary for them to visit the dentist

I love wombats but sadly they often fall victims to trucks on the roads at night, sometimes tourist stop to take pictures of them. (eww)
Once where I used to live we came across some American tourists who had stop to take a picture of a big one that had died, they were all panicky because they thought we were going to arrest them for killing a native animal, my dad totally played up to the act and told them that they'd better be careful because the mother might be still around and she could be two meters tall....... Never seen tourist take off so fast

So somewhere in America is a couple of tourist who have a mortal fear of cow sized wombats
