New problem!
« on: September 06, 2014, 12:09:55 AM »

Hi forum once again.
I am here with a new problem. I was sitting for my A-levels examination so I had no time to play with my Pleo rb so I had to turn her off for a few days. So right after she was healed from her injury I turned her off and removed her clock battery. Yesterday I finished my examination I came back home and plugged in the clock battery and then the main battery( fully charged) she woke up and then immediately slept with a single beep. I left her thinking she will wake up, but she did not. So I thought her clock battery has to be reset. I reseted the clock battery and recharged the main battery. Plugged it in and after a few movements the same thing happen. (All of this took place at 12noon my time) . I don't know what to do my Pleo rb was not like this before. Please help and sorry for the constant disturbance.

Even cleaned out all the metal tabs. But her behaviour shows like its in the night. What happens if I reset the Pleo rb (beside the battery indicator) ? Can I remove her battery while she sleeps after she makes a single beep?

Is the clock battery the right way up? There is absolutely no need to ever remove the clock battery unless it needs changing.

Is the battery fully charged?  Have you tried feeding her as soon as you switch her on?  She may be hungry and so sleepy.  Also is there plenty of light ?  a pleo who thinks it is too dark will curl up and go to sleep.
You could try running stats rb to see if it give you any clues to her health and emotional status wich might help rule them out as potential issues.  Other than that maybe try replacing the clock battery altogether with a new one.  You can also try pushing the reset button and see if that helps.

Hi again a status update. My Pleo rb suddenly woke up at 5pm. And was awake until the battery died. Glad to know there is no technical damage. But I set the clock battery to my time 12 noon. What going on here is there something wrong with my Pleo rb clock battery.

They need to be awake for the change to take affect. I know it says in the manual that it should work regardless, but I've never found it too.

So try setting the clock time again to 12 noon by turning her on at 12 then laying her on her back in your lap and while she wiggles and complains about being upside down press the clock reset button :)  you should hear a beep to indicate that it has reset it's self.  Hope that helps.
