I had an awful scare with Lilo tonight

When I turned her on she made strange sounds like her speakers weren't working properly then stopped moving except for a little shudder every now and then. I turned her off and on and tried a fresh battery but she just wouldn't wake up

Fortunately I remembered a similar problem happening to someone else so I tried downgrading her to OS 1.0.2 and after a while she woke up and appeared to be acting normal again. It gave me an awful fright but I was sure when I upgraded her to OS 1.1 it hadn't worked properly, know I know it didn't

Anyways she is reupdated to OS 1.1 again and is happily wandering around so I hope everything is back to normal

*sigh* I shall have nightmares about bricked Pleo's all night now

And the night should be over by the time you read this hopefully without nasty dreams. If I had a similar problem I would probably have dreamt about Pink Floyd singing about a Pleo wall.

I have some pictures sent to me from a former Ugobe staffer of the new Boise office when it first opened. They had a couple of technicians diagnosing returned pleos and batteries, so off in the background was a stack of green pleo boxes. A true wall of bricked pleos!!

There should be an adoption service for all of us who don't mind a pleo that is physically chanllenged. They are still precious.

I offered to take some off their hands, but they weren't willing to part with them. Makes you wonder what does happen to broken pleos in the end . . .
