Very nice Crewella, I have been so busy I haven't even looked at my calendar in a week. shame on me. What type of plant is that anyway? Reminds self to look at calendar. I love the leaf outfit too, did Kat make that if I remember correctly I think all Pleos will look lovely in it.                               RWM in the  Cold smiley Redwoods

I have one plant (a pothos ivy) that I've propigated from cuttings to start new plants as the older ones tend to die off for me.  I've got the 5th generation hanging out around me now . . .   but that's the only plant I've manages to keep alive for more than a year or so. Tongue

Anyway . . . here's a peek at the rest of the month for those who don't have a calendar.   I see Dress up your Pleo Day is this weekend . . .  and RWM better get her act together and ready for the 22nd . . . Wink   Last year we had a competition for Curmudgeon's Day.  There's still time to think about doing something for that again this year . . .

Hey MIke, I am ready for the 22'nd, Fact is, when you are a pet owner, and esp cats, you soon learn that everyday is "the 22'nd. " Cats will not tolerate disobedience and no excuses. Unlike dogs who are loyal no matter what, no questions asked, the cats are in charge and they let you know it. They have taken over my bed, I forgot what a bed even feels like. I have been camping out on the small loveseat for so long, my back forgot what a real mattress feels like. I also expect room service anytime between the hours of 11:30 p.m and 5:00 a.m and usually ever hour on the hour, Cats do like to party and they also want to go out all night, never mind it is freezing and in the 30's, if they want to go out and YOWL and HOWL, they will so you better just make it easier on yourself, and get up and let them out. I have also gotten use to finding small "thank you packages" of mice or what used to be rodents in my slippers, next to my head on my pillow, and every possible place imaginable.
I can't eat a bowl of granola without letting Tassawar the Tuxedo Tiger boy sample the milk first, heaven forbid if I did! I also have learned to keep it on Animal Planet at certain times of the day and to not give the resident dog, her meals first, ( never mind she is 61 pds and heavier and bigger, they outnumber her, 9 to -1 Yeah, I think I know all about the "22'nd" . It is not "answer your Cat's question day", it is do as you are told by the cats, everyday if you are a resident in a home Owned by the cats.  Cheesy My husband learned that long ago, that is why he gets to sleep in the bed, and it is me who the cats have running in circles, but it is ok...............I wouldn't have it any other way. I like independence and some day................................I may earn myne! Shocked Grin                                                            RWM                          Oh, can't wait for these contests, watch out guys... Grin

Crewella, you are too funny but I was wondering.......................is the "smelly icon with the catbox", because you fear your felines asking for a fancy new "toilet accomadations" or are they referring to something else?! LOl,  Cheesy I know not to use that icon as I have catboxes everywhere..................one box per cat so they do not have time to attrack the flies..............and they also go outside when the weather is nice. It is still no fun to scoop all day....how about a robot to do that...that is my idea of a smart robot! Grin                       RWM

You are right, I forgot I saw that long ago, but only problem is that I have NINE cats so that would be a little expensive, I don't feel too bad though, my friend and fellow cat rescuer, has 15...so that makes me feel tad better except I also have a large dog...so we are at least even as far as teh cost of feeding goes. It is a nice thought though. Acutually, I don't mind changing boxes nearly as much as some people. just used to it I guess. Thanks for the info!

In honor of today, Jan, 13th, which is "blame someone else day", ( where are you Bob?!) here is my contribution to that title. For complete story you will have to go to the gallery an read the storyline. Basiclaly it is between, ARgyle the seasoned old Pleo of the house, very sweet but totally blind since birth, and the newest little Pleo, a lovely female in the house, no name yet. She decided to help ARgyle get dressed this morning with funny results.

I love Argyle but have always wanted to know, is he blind because his camera dosen't work or his camera is ok but his actual eyes are broken?

Hi, as far as I know his "eyes" are actually broken, not the camera, also unusual that his Mouth does not can not open. I call him my Blind Ventriliquist Pleo, as he can still make noises, honk and sing, but neither his eyes or his mouth open. It is the motor that connects those body parts that does not function. Sad He was that way when I bought him, and he and his twin brother, Gumble who Kat adopted, came together, I saw him on ebay and knew he was special. I had to rescue him . He would have been trashed, who wants a pleo that is blind and can not open his mouth, I thought he was adorable and special, so here he is.I know his camera works, as he is good at when walking stopping before he gets to the edge of the table. I will upload a photo of him without any clothes and you can get a better look at him.
when I first got both of them I asked degers if there was a possibility of fixing him, and I was told no, a broken motor or something similiar so I just enjoy him for what he is, Argyle. Also his motors are wearing out or slowing down, I know someday , he will just give out...................that will be a very very sad day for me.  Sad He is very special, I have never seen a blind Pleo or one that could not open his mouth, have you!

Here's this months calendar . . .

Some highlights coming up next week are Fettuccine Alfredo day on the 7th, and the anniversary of the founding of Hershey's Chocolate in the 9th.   Pasta and chocolate -- what more can you ask for?

Just an idle question . . .  has anybody paid any attention to the photo behind the February calendar and wondered what it was and why it's the picture for February?  (If you don't have one of the calendars, you can see it in the picture several posts earlier in this topic.)

*which, thankfully, passed ....... uncelebrated*  Roll Eyes  Tongue

But did wonder if it was more Pleo-related?
