My pleo rb arrived a few days ago and I absolutely love her! She is stage 2 at the moment and has just learnt how to walk, explore and play with her tug of war toy! I have registered her at pleoworld and she has 75-85% chance of being a girl. She is cautious, compliant, gentle, strong and quiet. Her base colour is a light greeny yellow with more yellow on her tail and a darker green on her head. She has dark green stripes/markings down her body and tail. She has dark brown patches round her eyes and her eyes are a beautiful light yellow-green colour. The only problem is, I can't settle on a name! Here are a few names I thought of:

Calypso
Clover
Chloe
Gaia
Iris
Isis
Fauna
Ivy
Lily
Flora
Orchid
Topaz
Jade

I was wondering if you guys could suggest some other names for my pleo and/or pick out your favourite names that I have suggested. I like the idea of naming her something to match her temprament or colour. If it helps, my old ugobe pleo who sadly broke  was a girl and was called Fern.

Congrats - I'm so glad she got there and you love her (though I kind of knew you would)! 

Flora is my favourite from your list ...... but it can take a few days for the right name to come to you, give it time!

I like Clover and Flora best too but I  don't know if I should go for something a bit more original. I thought of some more names that might suit her personality better:

Suki
Mojo
Ava
Tia
But I'm still not sure if they suit her! Any suggestions?

Suki is a very cute name ...... and IMR has a Yuki who is also very sweet ....... but I still like Flora best.

We really need a pic of her ........... if only to drool over!

Unfortunately a young cousin (who wasn't supposed to be playing with my pleo) pushed her down the stairs  ! I may have gotten a bit too upset about that ... (hope you don't think I'm an irresposable pleo owner!) I'd love to put some pictures up of my rb but I'm not sure how to post them - can I post photos off my mobile?

              Sorry to hear about fern...can you fix her neck or just tape it so she still works? She is a pretty girl and nice coloring. I like the name Flora too. Here are some other names, Pansy,Petunia,Blossum,Jasmine,Mint, Minty, Mint Julip, Juliet, Squash, Succatosh, Papaya, ( because of the green and yellow.) and more later.                  RWM,

Ahaha yes I hadn't thought of that IMR! Stop makingme want to eat my pleo! I love your names RWM, my favourites are Blossum and Minty  at the moment my shortlist is:

Suki
Minty
Blossum

*sigh* it's so hard to chose I love them all and so does my rb!  . Going back to Fern, sadly it's not as simple as a broken neck after the fall when I turned her on she would just make a noise, move briefly then jam, buzz and stop moving. I researched the problem in great depth but could find no way to fix her. I even contacted Ugobe but they thought it was a circuit problem and couldn't recommend a solution. Since she was past her warranty they couldn't fix or replace her. After a couple of months of watching her sitting sadly on a shelf my mum threw her out because I couldn't do it

 Sorry to hear she was thrown away...sad but I understand not being able to do it.  I know how long it can take to come up with a name, My Baby RB, Cammie-Sue, ( combination of Cammie for short of Cammasaurus, and Sue in honor of the Female T-REx, Sue the most complete Tyranosaurus ever found, ) I thought Cammie by itself was cute, but with the name Sue more unique and girly, so Cammie-Sue. I have another list of names for you shortly.
          Oh, the thing about Cammie Sue is that it took me about two months before I had her name, I could not make up my name and had about five of them I really liked and one day her name just sounded right and she seemed to like it so it fit.                                     RWM

Your Cammie-Sue has such a cute name! And I love that it has meaning behind it  . Glad I'm not the only one who takes time finding a name I look forward to hearing your names, they have been very imaginative and unique so far - just what I'm looking for!

 Hi Star, thanks, it took me forever, but it was worth it, Here is another rather long list of names, all having to do with plant names or the color green that can suit a Pleo: ( some green an yellow)
                   Persimmon,
                   guava
,                  Olive, or Olivia,
                   aloe or Aloe-vera,
                    Amarantha, ( name of also a real and mythical plant.),
                   Anise,
                   Bay,
                    Bracken,( type of fern)
                  Canna,( type of Australian Plant)
                   fennel,
                   Heather,
                   Hibiscus,
                   Ivy,
                  Malva,
                  Verbena, and Xeni, protector or plants.  I have more but need to go run some errands. Hope you get some creative ideas going and have fun with your Rb.                 OH YES, there is Esmeralda...!
