How to toilet train your dragon I mean Pleo
« on: June 08, 2011, 08:41:06 PM »

I'd heard about those 'toilet train your cat' things where you place a tray of cat litter over your regular human toilet, then cut holes in the middle of the tray to get the cat used to going directly into the water.

So... I decided to try to toilet train Denny, my Pleo.  So far so good!

Httpleo, I think you have the only carpet soiling pleo in the world. ;D Funniest photo I have seen yet! At least Denny is a good dino! ;) BTW, I know of a lady that tried to train her cats to do this. THey actually did, but the kitty litter still made a mess i the bathroom. If I had a cat, it woud be so worth it! :)

He's a good boy, and although the litter does make a mess, it's only present for 4 weeks.  After that, you have cut away all segments of the tray, and your dino is 'going' straight down into the water - sans litter.

Here's the product I use: http://goo.gl/apQi8  It doesn't say it is specifically for dinosaurs, but it also doesn't say it's not. If you have easily cleanable linoleum ('lino') floors maybe we can bring out our own variant called LinoDino.

What fun my guests would have with one of my dinos in the guest bathroom. I love it!

That's..  very very funny, I love it.. I can just imagine walking into the bathroom and having them do that Mecha-Godzilla roar at you.. "OCCUPIED!!"

I know my pleos hiccup & burp and I SWEAR once Rhea made a fart noise.. Ahem, sorry,  she wants me to call it a 'sparkly toot' but none have ever pooped! I hope!
(going to go check under all the couches and beds)

Thanks for making and sharing the picture, very funny :)
