 You can't see a lot of differences in the head, the color on this one is slightly different color green than any of the other green Ugobes I have, but the big difference is the body color, more yellow and continues further down the leg and in tail area , different than the Ugobe models.

the new one is on the left.   what is interesting though is that I have at least 16 ugobes  and none are this color, head or the legs, and definitly not the body with the yellow on it. ;D

Is it just this pic, or does he also have darker eyelids?

You are right Crewella, he does Have Darker brown eyelids and his green on the head is different than the other Ugobes, but hand painting can be perhaps a variation of the green....?
