What a nice photo, this must be one of your elder felines, what is her name? She must have a good disposition to allow you to put a hat on her, My Aiffa who is a tortie would get very grouchy if I attempted that. Her back is so sensitive ( Arthritis I think) that she will nip if I try to brush her back near her tail, she definitly tells me she does not want it to be brushed, How old is this one, She has nice Halloween colors too.

Thank you RWM, I know you know a good cat when you see one - that's Giddy.  She's the matriarch of the family and has been a good friend for 18 years.  You could do most anything to Giddy (sometimes known as 'Captain Cuddlepuss' I'm embarassed to admit) - when she had her kittens she insisted I sat by her box, practically holding her paw, through the entire process.

Giddy is beautiful Crewella, I know exactly what you mean by " holding their paws." When Lie-Lu had kittens, I had to be the Mid Cat Wife both times, and hold her paw also, I had made her a box, and put it in the corner of our bedroom, My husband was too nervous to even come in to see what was happening as this is his " baby", Lei Lu jumped out of her box to deliver her kitten on the bathroom rug on the floor, They allways pick where they will have them and there is not a thing you can do about it, I had a cat once give birth to kittens in bed with me when I was about 12, and it has been that way ever since, She must be very healthy to be 18 years old . I met a woman a couple of weeks before Halloween who had two cats, 27 and 24. She was totaly into Pleo, wanted another Pet.

27 and 24!!!!  Thank you for that, you don't know how happy that made me - I dread the day we lose Giddy, we both do.  She's been with us for most of the 20 years we've been together, the possibility (however remote) of a few more years just lifted a weight from our hearts - I'd not heard of cats living so long! :)
