Karl Kat Abcess
Not for the squemish, this is a very graphic photo of Karl Kat before I rescued him, He was an abandoned pet, and a beautiful boy but in a bad way here in this photo, He got into a fight with another un neutered male over food, or perhaps because he got too close to this other male, who was not used to males rubbing on him as a friend..
Poor Karl Kat ( as I named him,,) was down to 7 pds, a skinny boy with a huge abcess and gaping hole on his jaw and neck, He also was suffering from chronic stomatits, and had never been neutered, Despite all this, he was a sweet trusting boy. I captured him, had his Abcess taken care of, he was later neutered, and went from 7 pds to 14 pds. I then adopted this sweet boy who is a very nice teddy bear of a Brown with white tabby. this photo was taken last July, 2009. In January or Febuary because of chronic Stomatits, he had all but his front canine teeth removed as a hope it would cure his stomatis, but it hasnt . He gets Steroid shots very often and also is on antibiotic every month, all bec ause he was either lost or deserted as a pet when his owners moved . Despite his traumatic past, he is glad to be out of the rain and off the street, and I love this guy and he fits in well with my other eight cats and dog. This photo shows just how bad he was, this was taken the day before I trapped him, The other cat in the background is a female called Peaches, she is a spayed sweet female, one of a colony of 24 I took care of. You can see the gaping hole in Karls neck.

) I'm glad he found a loving home, you can just imagine how much relief he had when all of his injuries were taken care of!
