Well, Anki has announced the first update coming out before Christmas! 

With our December update, Cozmo will react to dogs and cats. He'll introduce you to a new game. You'll be able to make him talk and taken even more control in Explorer Mode. He's even got a few new moves to show off.

Ok, Cosmo is adorable I bought myself a Christmas present He's a rather entertaining little bot, what I've unlocked so far is pretty cute. Looking forwards to uncovering more.

I've called mine Wall-E of course edit: after showing my boyfriend Wall-E we've called him Mo instead

Yup it does, but is does need to be connected to a phone or iPad since that's where the brains are.

The connection is over wifi too not Bluetooth, so that's a tad annoying when travelling internationally But it works a treat, not a single connection drop out so far. I drove Mo all around the house via the app which allows you to see through Cozmo's camera. It was pretty funny to surprise the dogs He also transitioned from wood floor to fluffy rug no problems which was impressive given his size.

I have Cozmo as well and am enjoying him so far! The only thing that I'm a little bummed about right now is that I can't take videos of him while he's running since my phone is my only camera and I can't get the app and camera to stay open at the same time.

There's some really neat stuff being done with the SDK, I hope Anky uses some for further expanding Cozmo, one advantage to having his brains in the phone is that he has almost unlimited expandability.

I still enjoy my Cozmo very much , still have to buy a new laptop  mine stopped working so I look forward in using SDK.  i

There is some very neat stuff being done with the SDK.  A very clever person has created an extension for scratch - a kids block drag and drop coding program - which works with Cozmo.  I use scratch at work with our kids coding club so am pretty excited that I can now use this as a really simple way to program my Cozmo.  This is great for anyone who has no coding/ programming experience.  If anyone is interested here is the link to the forums about using scratch with Cozmo, this will tell you how to get set up.
