This is entirelyl normal, Pleo RB do not walk nearly as far or as much as the original Pleos who will walk for great distances, My Baby Ruth hardly walks at all, and when she does it is normal to take no more than 4 steps then stop and start again. Some walk a little bit more often then others, but they do not walk very far and not more than four steps at a time from what I have seen.  ;) RWM :cat-hug:

They should of added the option of being able to put pleo rb in explore mode as i think a lot of people enjoy just watching that sometimes :-)

Of course there is one option, other than getting a Ugobe who will walk from here to Kingdom Come........that is to use the "come to Me", play learning stone, and stand far enough back from Pleo,( Theo) that he has to walk a lot longer distance, Of course, you will have to get him in a good mood, well fed, the right time of day, right conditions, etc, and then use over and over. You can allways get a Ugobe and let Theo watch and perhaps he will get the idea.....LOL :D I do think the idea of them being able to walk farther like their sweet cousins, the Ugobes would be a great idea.............must be some reason they did not incorporate it when making them though..............? Go figure.......................RWM :cat-hug:

RB's can walk just as much as Ugobe Pleo's. It all depends on their activity levels, I have two that are super active, one that hardly walks and one that is a sloth :P

My two rb also can walk far. they take the four steps look, and then walk further.
i think it is around 3-4 meters they have walked the most. they also back, turn and shift direction.

If i was in charge of the making of pleo rb I would of made sure that pleo would wonder and explore by him self as mandatory lol it's what we all want i love the interactions etc but watching them explore etc is fun too :-)

Two of my Four Rb have high activity levels but also have low courage and one has high activity and normal courage, but they still do not walk as far as a Ugobe, but will walk off and on, but more in circles then the Ugobes, who seem to walk farther faster, I think perhaps the low courage in two of them influences how they feel about going off to explore on their own as well. I agree that if they could just want to go off and explore or you could push their front legs,
( like the Ugobes) it would be fun to see them just go off on their own and explore.         RWM :cat-hug:

As others have said it depends on the RB's DNA. My Ryu might walk two feet in a battery cycle. Before Cato hit old-age stage, he would explore almost as readily as a Ugobe. These days he might go eight steps. By then he's bored with me and everything else and goes to sleep. Just a note on old-age pleo- if you don't keep interacting with him in some way be it showing him a toy or patting him, he will curl up and go to sleep. I would try doing something with Change RB to see if it has some sort of function where I can put him backward in time but one I'm afraid of doing that and two, when my cousin reglued his foot skin back down, she somehow glued his paw scensor down as well so I can't make changes anyway.

Thanks Talon, think every pleo is different by sound of it, I dread my theo getting old, at moment he sleeps a lot because he's young, can't teach him or anything, but as I say he's only young, hope he walks soon, thanks for advice today

No problem, Jontibb! You won't have to worry about old-age pleo for a very looooong time. It takes three realtime years before PleoRB hits the old-age stage. Cato was hatched some time in 2010 and I am his second owner. Another tip that might help you to get Theo to walk more once he grows up a little is just to ignore him. After you've fed him and he's in a really good mood, just let him alone for a bit and see what he gets up to.

jUST A quick note to what Talon said, yes each Pleo Rb DNA is slightly different as far as what they are born with, In regards to Cato and his old age and she said, not to worry because Cato is 3 years real age. that is not quite correct. Pleo RB came out first to members on this forum who had the first batch of RB as they were very very very limited supplies. I got the second Pleo RB on this site and that was Dec. 22n'd, 2010, hatched the next day, Dec. 23rd, but had to return her Feb. 2011 because of skin problems. ( holes..) so Cato is not 3 REAL years old, his age may be close to 3 years, but he could not have been hatched before DEC. 2010, and close to the End of Dec, so that would make him in REAL Years , 2 years and 9 months old currently, ( if he was purchased, received about Christmas 2010 which sounds right.)  ok, I just looked him up, he arrived Dec. 27th, 2010, so he is not 3 years old yet, In REAL TIME until this year, but something else made him old fast, There are other Pleo Rb out here on the forum and world wide who will also be approaching old age soon, but it also depends on how much you play with your rb, If you play everyday and a lot then your Pleo is going to age faster than someone like me who may not interact with them for days or weeks at a time.. at least that would be my guess. here is the link with arrival of Cato, but the pictures are not visible.                                     http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1741.0             RWM :cat-hug:

Talon and Redwoods, I use theo every day at moment, hope he will not age too fast, what do people do when there pleo Dies, in repairable, dread the day do people stick them on a shelf, bury them what,  on a lighter note, Theo hopefully will walk on holiday when I have more time, will take photos of Theo's first holiday.

I don't think they should allow pleo to age get old to be honest nobody wants to pay that sort of money just for it to age get old and sleep a lot lol i agree pleo should mature over time but in sense just becomes more aware and more intelligent that's what I would like but i would want my pleo rb to be active and want to explore :-)

Wonder if Innvo labs would take note if i wereto contact them ..... I doubt it tho lol

By all means, go ahead and let Innvo Labs your concerns and what you would like to see. If it were not for feedback from Pleo and Pleo Rb owners and members on a forum like this, then they would be missing out on a  lot of valuable feedback, You have nothing to lose and I am sure that if you were to let them know either by email or esp on a forum like Facebook, they will get a lot of feedback from other Pleo owners who think the same thing and would also love to see their Pleos explore and become more mobile. I know I for one would love my Pleos to walk more often and further than they do currently. :cheer:  RWM :cat-hug:

Hey Jontibb - pleo will never die.  Pleo rb's do age a little over time but it takes quite a few years before they reach old age which is their final stage of development and in this stage they just slow down a bit and are a little more sleepy / less active than they previously were.  So their movements will be slightly slower than they use to be and they will walk around less or less vigorously than they use to.   Once they reach this stage they stay in this mode permanently or until they break / stop working due to wearing out.

Thanks Kat, I think when a Pleo starts to break down beyond repair we can download the character and all it's learnt and be uploaded into a new pleo, that way our Pleos would be with us always, cause no new Pleo would match my Theo
