So I entered to win a trip to see ASIMO through FaceBook and I am super excited that I may actually have the chance to meet him!!!!  It has been a life long dream of mine to meet an ASIMO in person.  If anyone would be willing to cast a vote for me I would appreciate it more than you could ever know!!!  I promise I would photo document the whole trip to share my experience   Here is the link if you want to help out!  Thanks a million

Do you get to just watch the show or will you be allowed to interact with him? I saw Asimo live in 2006 when they took him on a tour of Australia, they asked for a young lady from the audience to go up on stage and interact with him and the guy even pointed at me so I could have had the chance but I was 14 years old at the time and too stupid to realise he was asking ME. My mum just about slaped me after the show for not taking the (very obvious now that I look back) hint. I can't even express with words how much I hate myself for not taling that opportunity. 

So what I'm getting at here Fleur is I plan to live through you. I'm going to vote every day (because I see you can do that) so that you get this chance and when you get it you are going to report back to me the answer to the burning question I have had since I was too stupid/shy to find out for myself: what do his hands feel like.
If you get to interact with him you have to shake his hand and tell me what it is made of, how many degrees of freedom his fingers have and how strong his grip is.

Well the trip is for 4 days so I can't imagine I would just watch the show 4 days straight.  I can't believe you saw him live!  Its a bummer you didn't get to go up there and see him I promise the first thing I will do if I get to interact with him will be to feel his hands and find out the degrees of freedom.  Thank you for voting for me!!! I'd like to see a contest to win iCub2.0.

Back when iCub was released their was a competition funded by the European Union in which six iCub's were given away to people who entered a competition.

Sadly due to the poor state of things economically in Europe today the Italian Institute of Technology is unable to garner support for a similar competition to mark the launch of iCub2.0.
