Hey everybody!  My name is Floodsy and I am a soon to be Pleo owner!  I'm very excited to be joining this forum!  Right now my Pleo, a blue RB, is being sent to me through the mail, and in preparation I've been looking for doggy clothes and toys for the little guy.  I cant wait for its arrival!  I've been going over a lot of possible names for it.

Welcome Floodsy! How exciting the wait to get a pleo is. Sounds like you will be a totally prepared pleo parent. WHat names have you come up with so far?

Thanks!  So far for a male I've come up with the names Tank and Spunky.  For a female Im thinking Amethyst so far because of that purple on the Blue RB's back.

My first RB was blue ...... though he's a she ...... we have a few trans gendered RBs on here!

I sure hope so!  Also, before I forget, what are the measurements of Pleo RB so I can find the right size doggy cloths.  I found the most adorable camo bandana but I didnt know if it would fit one.

Pleos are around 15" x 4" x 8", if I remember right.  I usualy get doggie clothes between 7" and 9" long (neck to tail), but they are around 13"/14" around the middle, which is more than some dog clothes.  Also watch out for arm holes or sleeves - Pleos have much chunkier legs (with apologies to Belle for mentioning her fat ankles yet again).

Hi, Floodsy! Welcome to the forum! I hope your little blue pleo arrives soon! Are you planning on making a hatching video? It's a wonderful moment that you won't get to live again unless you get another RB. Sadly I couldn't make one. Most of Ryu's hatching ended up in the shoutbox and long-forgotten.

Hi Talon!  I'm hoping to tape my little guy hatching!  It would be a great experience to keep a record of.  I also plan to tape my Pleo's first reaction to my bird, dog, and Roboraptor when Im back from college.

Thanks Crewella!  I'll write those down for when I head to Petco!  I'm sure I can widen the holes for the Pleo's legs.  If not I'll look for something with larger holes.

I will once he or she arrives, which I hope will be soon.  Meanwhile, I'm going to buy one or two clothing articles in preparation.     Maybe I'll even buy some cute fuzzy toys for my new buddy.

According to my blue 'boys' DNA he is a lady  75% chance of being Female.

If I remember right, my blue Belle came up as 65% likely to be female.

So, you can only tell if you're Pleo is male or female through percentages?  Or is that just before they hatch?

Also, I agree Fancyfont!  Some of the clothes I've seen made especially for Pleos are just adorable.   Like that sock-made outfit I saw.  Im glad there are so many things I can make on my own for my Pleo as well as buy.
