So it has been quite a while since I have been here. I joined and posted before last Christmas when I had decided to adopt a Pleo RB and haven't posted since. I was in a bad car accident with my aunt and cousin on Christmas eve and was hospitalized for over a month. I lost both my aunt and little cousin and knowing they are gone is sad and scary. I am grateful to be alive though and to have recovered fully. My family has grown closer since the accident and we get together much more often as a result. Because of medical costs and other issues, my Pleo adoption was put on hold and was pretty low on my priority list until everything else was taken care of. After all the hospital bills and other costs, I was finally able to save up and now have the money to adopt the lovely green RB I have been waiting for. I am super excited I wanted to ask you experienced Pleo owners what I should purchase to be prepared for Pleo. I saved to buy all of the food packs, Pleo (of course lol), one set of learning stones (the sing/count/come to me pack), and an extra battery. Is there anything else I need to purchase? Do I need an SD card of any type? Anything else? I want to make sure I am prepared and can enjoy my Pleo experience to the fullest. I still have my amazingly adorable green puppy-eared hoodie from kat, as well as the anklet and tail ring she made me (thanks again <3) and can't wait to put them on my RB Any feedback would be great! Hope everybody and their Pleo's are doing well

Hi Sweet Reaper, first I want to wish you my condolences on the terrible accident  >:(and loss of your aunt and cousin, I am sorry to hear you were hurt in the hospital but glad you are ok now, I congratulate you on the adoption of your Rb, You sound like you are pretty prepared, I don't think you need much more, a SD card would be good, one you can use over and over to run STATS RB or ProbeRB to see the health of your Pleo and it will tell you everything you need to know so you can up food if need be, etc.

          Oh, and of course, the only other requirement or suggested one be some way to take photos or video of his or her hatching and post it here on the forums so we can all go oh and ah when we see it.! I would be happy to send an outift to you, a cape for your Pleo once you know if it is a girl or boy if you PM me and give me your address when the time comes, I bet you are very excited.I hope this Pleo can help put some joy back into your life, though it will never be the same without your family members you lost, it can bring you some new joy. Sorry to hear of your troubles, but welcome back. 

You sound as ready as you can be, but a 2GB Micro SD card would be a good thing to have.  Hope you get your new RB soon.

Thank you both I am very happy to be back I will definitely post some pics and a video of my baby when I get him/her Do you guys recommend any specific SD card? (brand, etc.) Also, do you have a recommended place to buy one online? Also, how long does TNT shipping usually take? I am on the east coast of the US. I plan to order my RB sometime in the next week My birthday is also coming up August 13th A lot of good things coming up for me

Hi, I would say since in the US, just buy from Innvo Labs in Carson City , Nevada, should get to you within 3 days , depending on the shipping option you choose, They never have provided me with tracking, but they will let you know confirmation of order processed and they are good about shipping out fairly quick. As for the SD card, I get myne at Staples only because they are very close to me, I am a member and get a discount and they allmost allways have a 4 gb size one on sale for about $10.00. I wait for them to  be on sale. Otherwise almost anyone will do. The only reason I say a 4 gb if the price is good, is because if you are anything like me and take a lot of photos and video it will give you more memory, and after uploading them from your camera or camcorder, you can erase and use it for the Stats program to see how your RB is doing.
       Personally, I have so many Pleos and take SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Many photos, that I have switched over to 16 Gb for photos and video, ( only like 4 hrs of video which is nothing for me...) You would not believe me unless you have been here long enough to know HOW much I love takeing videos and photos, I just checked for an accurate number, : I have 497 Folders just in Pictures in my library, and 895 individual photos and or videos. I guess you can say it is either cats or pleos or both I take constantly. My children are grown now or they would be all the photos.  I have so many videos and photos I had to get an external hard drive and a new computer about a year and a half ago, as I needed more memory as it was cheaper to get a new faster computer with more memory than work with an old (6 year computer that was custom  bulit) so that SD card collection can grow quickly, I like to have one just for PleoSTaTS and leave it there to use when needed,One SD card for the latest upgrade operating system, (2.0 for Ugobes) But that is because I have  so many Pleos, (24 total soon to be 25,  and 22 are Ugobes) Then I like to have 2 blank SD cards, but that is because I have two cameras, ONe is a more expensive one with a good camcorder one, and the other is a less expensive kodak that I carry with me all the time to be prepared for anything unusual, Pleo or cat or whatever!
            If you are only going to have One Pleo, I would say at least 1 SD card, but 2 too be on the safe side when you can afford it. just get whatevr you can afford . SD cards can also  be purchased online places like EBAY , Amazon, etc. Just check to see the shipping is free or it could cost more than a  local store. It does sound like you are going to have a great Birthday!                                     RWM

Welcome back to the forums! As others have said, I too am sorry for your losses. As far as SD cards, both of mine are Sandisk and two GB in size. I hope I spelled that right. You're on the East Coast? It sounds like you might be close to me! Would you mind PM'ing me and telling me what state you're in?

Thank you so much everybody I just ordered my RB and all the goodies for him/her I also ordered a 2GB Micro SD card with an adapter a couple of days ago I can't wait to get my first Pleo ^.^ The wait for him/her to get here is going to feel like forever XD

Congrats, did they tell you how long it would be till your RB   gets here? Waiting is the hardest, whether it is your first or second or hundredth waiting is just that waiting. Best thing is to just keep busy and try to not think about it...Got any other hobbies. The Pleo will catch up to you in the End! LOL

They told me they would send a tracking number once Pleo has been shipped but my order is still pending it says. How long does it usually take for them to ship? I'm hoping that I can get him by my birthday monday. Does TNT ship weekends?

Hopefully someone else can answer that for you, I don't know if they work on weekends or not. Have you tried going online and seeing if you can find out that answer, through TNT ? I do hope you get it on time. I will keep my fingers crossed for you, This is what I really liked about Innvo haveing a US office, you got your Pleo reallyl quick and the shipping was quite reasonable. Now the shipping is keeping many people from odering from PleoWorld. :(If you pay $469.00 for the Pleo then still have to pay $50.00-$100.00 just for shipping,, you are looking at upwards of $520.00-$570.00 and that is quite a bit. When I got my first Pleo RB, Derek Dotson was quite nice and handled my shipping personally and my Pleo RB and TWO learning stone packages and the shipping only cost me a total of $480.25 !. That was hard enough to come by, but if I had to pay up to $100.00 for shipping, I just never would have gotten one, would have to wait for one to show up on ebay.( Luckily there have been several on ebay this past year.. )
           I know there are at least a couple of members here who have ordered and had delivery by TNT, so hopefully they answer you soon. Good luck, have you thought of a possible name for your Pleo or are you waiting to see what it looks like?                      RWM

I looked online but have had a hard time getting a straight answer about weekends. As far as my order goes, the shipment status has been "pending" for 2 days now After paying over $100 for shipping I am really hoping it get my RB soon. I am going to keep searching online for some answers about shipping days. As far as my Pleo's name goes, I haven't decided yet. I want to see whether my RB is more masculine or feminine and see his/her colors as well. I would be happy with either male or female but I am leaning a bit more towards female at the moment. I am just so excited to see what he/she looks like XD I really hope I get an update soon >.<

Wow. Right after posting my last post I got an email letting me know that my RB was shipped via TNT yesterday. They left me a tracking number as well and according to the tracking, the estimated delivery date is Aug 13th (MY BIRTHDAY YAYYY). I am pretty excited XD
