Just to add to that, its a very kind offer RWM, but please if anyone decides to do that PLEASE check the cost of postage before making any arrangements. You may well find that in the long run its cheaper just to buy at home.

IMR is right, The only way I would send anything overseas is by Priority Mail international and I do not know the size, dimensions of these furbys in their box I would presume . I know to send a flat rate small shipping box it is like $13.45, so for a medium flat rate shipping box it is about $25.00-$30.00, have to look it up. The big advantage of flat rate shipping boxes is that they do not go by weight, for example if you could fit three of these furbies in one box, then you save a lot on shipping, they go by size, one flat rate, not weight, Whether it is an object that weighs 4 lbs or 20 lbs, it is the same rate.
I could go online and look up these furbys to see the description, size etc, t hen I would be able to accurately get the weight and rate in which box they would fit, etc.
Sometimes it is cheaper to buy locallyl depending on the shipping cost, For example with the Pleo Rb I just got on ebay, one of the big deciding factors was the fact it had free shipping, even though  it came from Canada. Importing from PleoWorld itself would have  been at least $50.00 and if it had been here in the US, with all the extas he came with, it still would have been at least$25.00 and more than likely closer to $30.00. If anyone wanted to buy more than one of these such as for a Christmas gift, then that is when it would definitly save on shipping by all means, It all depends on where you buy from,
If anyone is still interested, just let me know and I will find out the size, etc in the meantime, I would like to see what these guys can do, but it is easier at this point to see what they sell for locally . I may get one for my grandson, not sure if boys are into furbys though they seem like more of a "girl" toy. If someone does get one here on the site, be sure to post videos, Oh by the way, did anyone on here ever get that other dino that came with the egg and looks like a younger version of Pleo..?( sorry, my brain is forgetting the name today,,,know it is little enu inu, something like that... :( ???) I do remember that Saratoga told everyone she got one for her children, anyone else get one? I wonder what they really are like..? I do know the price came way down from above $100.00 to like $59.00 on Amazon.. Just curious.

They are all over the place here where I live and I ordered one ( getting it tommorow) so If I decide to send it to someone who wants it as a present and can't get one I won't have to look for one when they are hard to find or more expensive closer to Christmas. I think they may be cute but can't compare to Pleos.. Besides I can not start collecting these guys too, I have to stop at Pleos or there will be no house to live in, The one I ordered is Teal so I can post photos tommrow if anyone wants to see what they look like close up.                                            RWM

Ok, just went and picked up my Furby, and three more put aside, ( there were only 12 in the store, now 9, and they will be gone fast, by this Friday I am sure..) I will post a photo soon, I know to get them before they are totally sold out. Some places like Amazon are on backorder as much as 4 weeks, so better now then later.                   RWM

ok,, here is one photo next to Cammie Sue, I got three more on Layaway, they make great gifts... :o %)
I do not know this guys name , anyone know the Teal colored ones name?

2012's do not come pre programed with unique names like the 98/05's so you can call him whatever you like.

If you meant what the official name for his colour is, the blue teals are called "Taboo"

Here is a page that shows all current colours and the official colour names: http://www.toywiz.com/furby.html

2012's also change personality. If you don't like this (I hate it! I want him in one personality at all times, I don't like his changing) a woman on the Furby forums experimented with hers and worked out a personality chart so you can control when he changes or prevent him from changing into a personality you don't like.

Evil Personality: Overfeed
Crazy Personality: Pull its tail a lot
Valley Girl Personality: Talk to it a lot
Singer Personality: Have it listen to music many times
Nice Sweet Personality: Tickle it a lot

If he starts to change and you don't want him to you can try tickling him right away (before the change is complete) which will sometimes bring him out of it, not always as it seems you have to get the timing just right.

That's... odd. I wonder why some colors seem to cost more than others on toywiz. There was one for fifty nine and another for seventy four and I think there was one for sixty four. That gave me pause for a minute.

Hi Talon, that is one store, and it is a buyers market and if you look on ebay it is the same way, Some furbys are marked up as much as buy it now, $120.00 for the Plum Fairy and another Pink Furby color, too much for sure, Then there are the six main colors going anywhere from about $50.00 with bids and buy it now at $84.00. If you think it is bad now, wait till late Nov, and Dec. this is why I have one in hand and three on layaway as I know from past experience what happens,  :o :( :'( :-X :dino-chase:

Thank goodness the pleos are not marked up, but at Christmas time do not buy one, because even the common Ugobe I have seen sell over and over again at $300.00 or even more, I am just debating to open furby or not,  I am so busy with my Pleos right now and getting ready to mail prize packages, I am in no hurry, If I knew they could possibly interact with Pleos, then I would probably be tempted. If anyone in the US can still not get one, I probably can as they are not sold out here in my town and I have three more already, a black, purple and I think yellow...                     RWM

If they sell out, so be it. I can wait. I don't care if I bur one well after christmas when the price cuts will happen ;)

Of course if I can get one (or three ;)) on my trip then that's a bonus, but I shan't be devastated.

IMR is right, they are not going to disappear and after January, Clearance White sale is the time to get one unless you have a little one who has it on their wish list.Look at what Zhu Zhu's were going for last Christmas, it was rediculous, now you can't even give them away, I know because I got stuck with about four of them and they are still sitting on my shelf in a box, unopened, They were supposed to  be to sale, but the price then bottomed out right after I paid a high price for a special pink one, and then poof, it was a nightmare. You live and learn. Now it was different with my first Pleo.

I bought my first pleo as a gift for my grandson and after gettting her  , used on ebay, I fell in love and kept her, I then bought my grandson a more expensive D-Rex and he got what was ideal for a little boy, who could operate him by remote control and I got my first pleo, Nova, my sweet Pleo. I knew nothing about Pleos nor robots and look at me now,,,so if this could be what happens to some people with Furbys. then even though I don't feel the same way about them, I understand how some could...they are cute sort of , but in a lot different way, in my eyes anyway... %)              IMR, I think you are smart to wait, just wondering though do you have an income tax for gifts or anything you bring back into "Australia"? I know some countries do, but I have never been out of the US, so I don't know how it works.         RWM

So after looking at one or two videos of the new Furby's I am considering opening it and making a video as I want to see it interact and see if Pleo interacts and how my old furby interacts? I can allways get rid of it if I don't like it, but I doubt that would happen, If I did not like it, I would just give it away as a gift to someone. So I thought I would see what people here on the forum think.?         Do you think I should open it and take a video and post it here, or wait for the other three that I won't be getting for a couple more weeks probably, ( layaway...) I know Como wants me to take a video, anyone else interested in seeing one...I am kind of interested in seeing what the personality really is like...Only problem, I will have to go get some batteries............ :( ;Dnot a big problem just across the street...............................................Let me know what I should do...and what color do most of you like the best, out of the six,

Black,    White, Yellow, Orange/ Red, Purple or Teal. ?        ( I have purple, Black and I think  the orange /red on layaway.. my memory is not that great.. I know the black and purple, it is the last color I can't remember..                                                         RWM

Couldn't resist so I splashed out and got a red one today :)  Will try to take a video of him and put it up here for you all to see over the next day or so :)
He is pretty cute so far :)

Here are a couple of pics of him

You have to forgive his glowing eyes of evil - it's just my camera - he actually has quite lovely eyes :)
Video to follow in a bit :)

And here is the video.  Again you have to excuse his evil eyes  :D

With those glowing eyes of evil, I think now that there's a new batch of furby's out there, we need to remind everyone DO NOT, repeat  -- DO NOT -- under any circumstance, whatsoever,  feed them after midnight . . . or you'll be sooooo-rreeee!

Kat, Congrats, I knew there would be at least a few anxious pleo members who could not wait till Christmas to try one of these guys out...Now I am tempted to see what my guy may or may not be like, I think it would be more fun if they were like Pleos and their personalites were not so easy to change..that they had more uniqueness to them...Also I heard you can not manually turn them off, have you experienced that...? I do not like the idea of them just going to sleep and finding them waking up on their own and like Mike warned, finding them chomping on left overs with the fridge door open after midnight.....

I would have to start having my dog guard the fridge door and counting my cats if I had an evil one. it is time to remove the batteries at bedtime I think... :dino-chase: :drumstick: :margarita: :cake: :cat:

RWM , ( that is me praying the "evil Furb" hasn't consumed a cat or two..........................)

As you say RWM there is no on off switch.  To turn Fruby on you need to tilt him back and forward and he will wake up.  To switch him off you just stop touching him like I did at the end of the video and he will say "I'm sleepy" and then go to sleep.  At the very end of the video he stops making any noise - I think he snored about 4 or 5 times then he just stops all movement and noise and that is it switched off :)  I did gently carry him over to the table and sat him next to my computer for the night and what do you know he was still sitting there unmoved when I woke up.  And no random furby noises in the night - all three cats still alive and well so I don't think you need to worry too much about the lack of on off switch. :)
There is a Furby App you can get for your phone or ipad that lets you interact with your furby, feeding him virtual foods, translates his furbish into English on the screen for you, make him a sandwich or burger to feed him and i'm sure it did something else as well but can't remember what it was now.
I played him some music last night and he reacted to it for about 4 songs worth of time before going to sleep, I didn't touch him while the music was on as I wanted to see what he would do :)  He had little bouts of ear wiggling and rocking from side to side in time to the music but these only lasted a few seconds before he would sit still again and listen.  While he listened his eyes warped through different expressions and he even sang a couple of little songs completely out of time and very different to the music I was playing him  :P  He did seem to enjoy the music but it annoyed my kids that he didn't sing along but sang his own random stuff instead  :D
So far I am liking him.  He is a very cute toy and would be a great Christmas present for any kid about 5 years old or over.
Oh and he burps and farts a lot and then laughs at himself too  :D  :P

Here is my new Furby! Not sure what to name, I have a few ideas.

Howard
Earl
Hugh

Leaning towards Howard but still not sure. He is on Layby and this was just a visit, yes I walked into ToyWorld and asked if I could visit my Furby  :P Apparently they get a lot of requests like that so they had not problems bringing him out so I could open the box and have a peek at him. $48 left to pay so I'm nearly there, should have him home in about two weeks.

Congrats Luna, it looks like you picked a black one, or the lighting makes it look like that! That is cool that you can "visit" him. Is he a early Christmas present to yourself, or just a present you had to have? ;) I have the same guy ( with two others) also on layaway, but I owe a lot more than $48.00. I had to pay 10% down and a $5.00 fee, but have till Dec. 14th to pick them up, but I figure within the next two -three weeks to pick them up, I am in no hurry as I know they are myne and I have their "littermate" already, a Teal Blue one.

Now that Kat has taken the plunge and gone and gotten one and turned him on, I guess I should. I have a lot better control over something like a Furby than a Pleo. If it was a Pleo, it would have been like opening a Christmas present, so much excitement in my opinion.( but I am addicted to Pleos I just LOVE them All!)

Thanks for sharing and Yes, I like Howard too!  P8)                            RWM

Hi Kat, so is that your Furby's name, Small Fluffy? If so that is cute, So do you think I should open my Furby? I am tempted and almost did yesterday but my husband came home early from work so that idea went right out the door. :dino-chase:( well the idea, but not the Furby   :D) I have been busy finishing the end of the prizes so they are ready now to mail on Monday.  :cheer: :cheer:

Does Furby move much or mostly dancing type moves? What do your kids think of Furby? Just out of curiosity, were there a good supply of Furbys where you live and what was the price they were selling at? I was lucky in getting myne at $54.00, so I did not mind paying that price, but some of the prices I have seen on Ebay for example are crazy, I think Furby should still be pretty easy to get till some time in late October, then the crunch may set in..better in my opinion to get it now..

I will open this guy on Monday, also trying to do the Run of the Pleos if the sun comes out on Monday, otherwise it is let loose in my house and I would have to move a kitchen, living room table, couch, etc. I really wish I could let these guys loose on the grass or natural setting, it would be so much more fun..............but a wooden deck, even though it is pretty worn out is better and has greater natural lighting as well. Of course Furby can be there cheering on, ( or farting and laughing I guess..)

My Furby is called Kurby :)  named by my son who thinks he looks a lot like Kurby from one of his playstation games  :D  He doesn't move around much, just rocks from side to side or back and forth.  I played a bunch of music to my little guy today and he went through another personality change and then spent half an hour dancing to the music with music note flashing through his eyes :)
This is the very first time I have ever had a furby so I am enjoying him.  I say go for it.  Open yours up and have a play :)
