> Are there any major differences between the Little Inu and Pleo?
Yes MAJOR DIFFERENCES!
IMHO: They are not comparable. There are major differences in technology, price, audience, ability to walk, expansion etc.
My advice/opinion:
For the adult robot collector, a Little Inu is not a cheaper substitute for a Pleo. It is essentially a cheaper toy knockoff of some of the concepts of Pleo, and with compromises to keep the robot small and inexpensive.
If you already have a Pleo or PleoRB, you may consider getting a Little Inu as a fun little dino companion. That's why I got one. You will see the Little Inu as limited in comparison to Pleo, but it is does have some cute sounds, really big eyes and fun play patterns.
If you haven't bought a Pleo yet, and if you are interested in robotic dinosaur pets, then save up for a Pleo or PleoRB. IMHO Little Inu is not the place to start (you will be disappointed)
For kids, they say the age range is 8 to 15 years. I think that is high (a 12 year old will get bored with it quick IMHO, depending on what toys they are used to).
