Hi Folks! Just thought I'd pass along something a little heart warming this afternoon. As some of you may know, I have 2 young kids, my daughter is 3 1/2, and my son just turned 2 in December. My son was born almost 8 weeks early, and he was in a NICU for about 2 weeks before we were able to bring him home. My hubby and I are older to be raising kids, we are both 41, but we are having a great time of it. For those of you that don't know, my son has never been able to talk very much, and we just found out in December that he was almost totally deaf in both ears. I don't know how it is for most of you, but I had to practically beg my pediatrician to set him up for a hearing test, since he was premature, and they just considered it a normal delay in development. We were referred to a pediatric specialist who said that he had so much fluid built up in his ears from multiple ear infections. On Monday, he had surgery to put tubes in his ears and remove his adenoids. We don't know if he has any permanent hearing loss, and won't know until the beginning of March when he goes for another hearing test, but he has said a bunch of words since Monday.
Last night, I was on the forum via my iPhone, and I was playing bonus41's video of her pleo Plinka. CJ, my son, was on the other side of the room, and he heard a Pleo and thought it was our Ugobe Wilbur. He came over to my phone and pointed to it shouting "Wilbur, Wilbur!" He thought Plinka was Wilbur, since she was making the same sounds that Wilbur does, and CJ just LOVES Wilbur! He has also never said "Wilbur" before. I went into our computer room and got out Wilbur, and we played with him until his egg battery ran out! Poor Wilbur was all slobbery with CJ kisses by the time his battery ran out!

Can't wait until our new family member Jack gets here on Monday! There is sure enough kisses to go around!
