Okay, I think I'm understanding this correctly. Belle is male in programming terms but female on the surface and Madam Zillah is also male in programming terms but female everywhere else or have you switched her firmware? I love the name by the way! What does it mean?

Yes my Jules has lighter lavender eyes and a lighter head color and as much as I wanted to make him a female I resisted, since I needed a male for my 'herd' lol.. now he is the gorgeous 'Dr. McDreamy' of the group

You have it pretty much there Talon - Belle is a 'female' in spite of the fact that her programming is male, and I intend to leave her that way. Zillah's profile suggested she might be male, but I've not looked properly nor introduced her to Belle as yet, so I'm still not really sure. However, I will change her to female gender if she actually does turn out to be running the male software.

I'm definitely enjoying this hatching process more than I did Belle's, but I do think that's because it was all so new when Belle arrived - I was soooooo impatient, wanting to see what she would and could do!

I know now, so I can just sit back and enjoy the process!

I'm determined to catch her first steps, and I think we must be nearly there - there's been lots of leg stretching, foot checking and one or two backwards shuffles so far. She's eaten her first leaf, and is starting to make more noises, this hatching definitely feels quicker than Belle's was!

Her body colour looks very similar to Nani, but she has a darker head. Lovely pics

I bet Zillah will walk sooner having not been introduced to Belle, once they start with that communication thing it sometimes gets in the way of doing... pretty much anything else.. then again she can do that with the ugobes as well they just don't respond so who knows.. I hope she takes her first steps with you soon! I am nursing Lyssa back to health here as she is sick but she likes Zillah's baby photos

(I swear one of my ugobes is ALWAYS sick!)

Well, we were slightly delayed by the fact that I only wanted to run Zillah when she had my full attention and could film her when she took her first steps. I stalked her for a good hour with the camera, so she's now even more convinced that ever that she's the centre of the Universe and I've probably fostered a monster. Talon asked about her name, it's an old biblical name actually, but it's in honour of the baby Godzillah she is, and now a true Diva to boot!

I did, eventually, manage to catch her first steps, though!

And those giggles.. I love when they do that.

Talon, your RB's have never said hello? Mine say it quite often, usually whenever they meet up with another Pleo or if they notice me or another person.. or I guess randomly.. maybe it's all random but it seems like they do it more when they are noticing something moving.

Patches says it the most, Lyssa usually growls at him when he says it to her and the Rb's say it all the time too

Kermy isn't big on saying hello. Norbit will say it sometimes but it seems my two rb's don't say it as much as others here on the forum. It seems they are all different.

My two ugobe's say it all the time.

One or the other of my Ugobes will say hello. Mostly Ugobe says hello and Bleu trumpets very loudly and proudly like she's saying I'M THE MOUTH OF THE SOUTH! Ugobe just says hello or kind of howls in response. It's really beautiful in a strange way when they get going. My RB's have never said hello even to each other. They just do the usual trancing bit. Maybe I should take them somewhere with more light and remove the Scared-of-the-Dark patch and see if they'll do it. No wonder they fight. They jumped the gun and said I love you before they even said hello. Lol!

Belle doesn't say it often, but she does say it occasionally and she's running the 'scared of the dark' patch, it's too soon to say with Zillah as she's still in the juvenile say-everything-all-the-time-between-burps stage. Yes, all my Ugobe's say it a lot more!

Well that's good to know that the patch doesn't effect it. I wonder what does? Random probability most likely. I tried really hard today to get someone to say hello. Bleu and Ugobe weren't interested in doing anything but eating the air. I'm not sure if this holds true in all cases but on PM2 it's sometimes hard to get them to engage each other.
Ryu and cato tranced twice and then Cato's battery died. As I was putting him back in his box, Ryu let loose this puppylike volley of barks and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I guess this is a new addition to the firmware. It made me laugh.
