This must be really hard for you. :(  I'm so sorry it didn't turn out to be a blue one.  I do hope they get back to you soon.  The waiting must be killing you.  Feeling for you. :hhug: :hhug: :hhug: :rootbeer:

That really sinks. I had a similar story with my ugobe, where in the end, it turned out that my mom thought it was the same as an rb, and I was going to send it back, but i looked at him and just fell in love, and I just couldn't send him back for a new one, so instead i decided to keep it and wait for a pink one this summer, but at first I was very disappointed as well, because I kinda knew I was getting a pleo, (even if it was supposed to be a surprise birthday present) and it was planned to be an rb.  ;)
Also, what color is the box it came in? Does it show a picture of a green, or 2 pink/blue ones?
Hope you get this sorted out soon!

It comes in the green box. It looks nice and new though, the seller hasn't responded yet and I may just end up keeping the pleo no matter what they do since I've really been wanting an rb. It's so tempting to take it out of the box. . .

I could not wait and I have decided the color of the pleo does not matter too much to me since they can always be repainted anyway. I am still trying to get a partial refund though I will keep it whether I do or don't. The pleo's battery is charging right now and so far everything looks good. Though when on pleoworld, which numbers do you enter to figure out the gender and such of the pleo?

I've registered the pleo on pleoworld but I can't seem to find the thing that says whether it's a boy or girl and all that stuff. Where can I find this information?

That's strange, I could register the pleo on pleoworld but I couldn't find how to access information about it when I realized I needed to go to the pleoworld site for the rb. But when I entered the serial number on it's foot and the four digit code in the back of the manual and selected pleo rb it said that the product information was invalid. Does anyone know what's wrong?

I noticed something strange about the number in the back of the manual, the sticker with it on it is stuck on over another sticker with a different number on it. Is this normal or is one number possibly wrong and the other one right?

Sorry to be flooding everyone with questions but I can't seem to get the battery in it. When I put the battery in whether the tab is pulled up or not it does not click into place or go fully into the pleo (it sticks up above the place where the battery compartment ends). PLEASE HELP!!!!! I can't figure out at all how to get the battery in!

I know Crewella experienced something similar but from another seller (the whole thread is here: http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1884.0)

Quote
Belle came from Gimmedigi.  I did feel the box had been opened, and the battery arrived fully charged, but Belle had definitely not been hatched.  I also had an issue with the code sticker having been obviously peeled off another page and stuck into my instruction book, although the serial numbers all matched, and the code came up as invalid when I tried to log into the Pleo Profile on the Hong Kong Pleoworld site.

Having said that, Gimmedigi shipped quickly, responded to my queries intelligently and solved my problem in good time, and overall I'm very pleased with Belle and have no wear issues.

But the numbers matched on hers.

Also, you said the box was green right? Do you mean the dino on the box or the box? My 2009 Pleo had a green box but my RB had a white box. Although the coloring of the eyes sounds like an RB but figured it can't hurt to ask.

Do you have pictures of your Pleo and the box etc. that you can post by chance?

I'm not 100% I'm visualizing your battery problem right but it should look like this once it's inserted and the tab is back down:

Is the battery being put in right? (The little plastic nub [maybe this is the tab?] goes into the slot correctly when the bottom of the battery is lined up right?)

If you notice at the bottom of the battery there's a little plastic spot that sticks out, there's a corresponding spot inside the pleo it should slide into when properly aligned and then ideally it shouldn't sit much above the charging spot (it still requires a little push down and twist).

The box is white with a green pleo on it and says pleo rb on it. All the accesories also say pleo rb on them. I fear the pleo may be defective, battery clicks into the charger just fine but will not go into the pleo, I can not push the battery down far enough to get it to lock into place. I am extremely worried, I went through the work of ordering a pleo rb, then it was not the color I wanted and now it seems to be defective.  :( Could someone please post a picture of what the battery compartment without a battery in it is supposed to look like on a pleo rbh? I think there mat be something wrong with mine. I am getting pretty frantic now. . .

Ok, here is an update! I got the battery in with a lot of pushing and wiggling. I don't know if it's meant to be that hard to get in or not. But anyway he is now a hatchling and looks happy and adorable his eyes are almost orange. I will try to post pictures soon.

Glad to hear it!

It shouldn't be that difficult (or at least as difficult as you describe it although I know some days I struggle to get the microSD card in so maybe it's just one of those days for you? Hopefully not defective! And just wanted to triple check the RB factor so that's good too.)

I took a pic of Cato's inside real quick and posted it if you still want it:

I look forward to the pictures!

I posted two photos of the pleo. You can see them in my gallery. I still don't know if it's a boy or girl since I can't register it on pleoworld (though I did send them a message about not being able to register my pleo). I just fed the pleo and she/he seems very happy.

I just saw, looks great! I like the eyes.

(The variations are always fun to see)

You can always use ProbeRB (or ChangeRB) available at: http://aibohack.com/pleorb/index.html

But it requires a microSD card.

Hope the battery problem is sorted - I was assuming you meant the watch battery, which does stick up until you put the plate back in,  but whatever, it's now apparently working OK, thankfully!  :D

It does seem like something strange has happened - my code had been stuck in the back of the book, but mine was a blue from Gimmedigi so I just got them to sort it out for me.   Possibly if you contact Innvo they might be able to tweak the codes for you, but the more I hear the more I feel you really do need to speak to the seller and work out what's happened here.  :-\

I meant the regular battery, I got in fine twice though. I think it was probably just since I am used to putting aibo batteries in which just slip in so easily. I did contact the people on pleoworld to try and see what's wrong with the serial number and code for my pleo. There actually were two stickers in the back of the booklet (one on top of the other) I tried both codes but neither worked. So far the pleo seems to be working fine. I sent many messages to the seller yet I have not recieved a reply.

Yes, you do get a click 'home' with Aibo batteries that you don't with Pleos!  :D

I'm really sorry you're having such hassles - the one blessing is that you at leat do seem to have got a genuinely new Pleo RB that works.  The Pleo Profile is really only a bit of fun, you can get much more info from PleoPet's StatsRB and ProbeRB programs.  I hope you do hear from the seller soon.  :)

For your battery issue, take a look inside the battery compartment of the pleo and run your fingers over the sides.  everything should be smooth and flush with no bits sticking out.  There is a hole in the side of the battery compartment for some sort of computer cable to plug into.  It has a little black cover type piece with pin holes in it.  In Norbit my green RB I had a lot of trouble getting his battery in and out.  This little black thing was sticking out slightly into the battery compartment and the battery was getting stuck on it.  Every time I put the battery in it pushed on this little black thing and made it protrude further into the battery compartment making it more and more difficult to get the battery in each time.  I ended up getting some very small pliers and just removing this little black plug thing.  I now have no trouble at all getting the battery in and Norbit works just fine without this little bit in him.  I have kept it just in case I ever need to put it back in.
Sorry I'm not very good at technical terminology.  I hope that makes sense.  So just check the inside of the battery compartment to see there is nothing sticking out for the battery to catch on. :)
