I'm still having trouble finding this. Advanced Audo and the Audo Zone near me didn't have the Vynalex but I'm next going to try an Ace Hardware store in Rock Hill and see what they say.

Ok, at long last, a whole week, my paints got here yesterday, and I have been dying to try them, Did the first coat late late late last night, and did the second fill in the spots on the coat this afternoon, the stuff drys fast and is very sheen looking, I do have some touch ups around the mouth and eyes but that will come later with a small small brush, for now I am ready for the second color, so here are some photos of the start. Just remember, this is the start, so pink is not the final result, just part of the final product. :)

Thought I would put my Pleo Rb in there for some color contrast, She is wearing a new outfit I made her called, "Gumdrop" because of all the pink in it, so I think it is appropriate.

I'm not too sure about this one. I like the color but the texture seems a bit funny. Could just be because this is the first coat so I will wait to see what this one turns into. :) I can't wait to see where you go with this.
What kind of paint is it that you are using?

This stuff is very thick when you first get it so it dries fast almost in ten minutes or less so it does need to be thinned just a bit. The texture is do to the thickness, it covers everything no matter what color you are covering, but like I said, I am going to thin it out a bit, and it is a chemical that needs to be done outside or with the windows open. I will thin out the "paint' and when I have thinned it out a bit I will see what happens. I am saving the name till I am finished so I can see the result first. It is easy to work with but does have a chemical smell like I said.

It does look like it could do with thinning - that's the problem I had with the latex paints that I got. You do need to see the skin texture coming through properly. Can't wait to see where this one goes! :D

Don't know why it just hit me, but, Crewella, why haven't you repainted one of your pleos white with black spots? Seems only appropriate for you. You need a bunch of dalmatian pleos . . . ;) :D :D

A hundred and one pleos! Man! You'd need a warehouse or a gymnasium to pasture them in! That's to say nothing about how long the painting would take. And all the different noises? Wow! It would be one massive project but awesome to see! Oh and for goodness sakes don't open any doors! Pleos on the loose! You know, this is starting to sound like a really good story.

Hi Crewella, just how many "bricked" Pleos do you have now? LOL, are you getting close to "13", I am now calling my Pleo congrgation, a "town", sounds better than a Herd or a team. LOL.
I think if you want 101, it is going to be quite a challenge though....glad it is you looking for that many, and not me!

ok, I have been so busy, I am surprised I actually got around to actually painting a Pleo today, but I did! :o Part of the trick was keeping it simple and nothing extravagent, simple colors and tried methods that have worked in the past. Don't get me wrong...I still want to do my Tiger Pleo and my more Feathered very colorful Lavendar Pleo I started over a month ago, but that is going to take time that I do not have right now, but this just hit me today, so I did it quickly with just waiting for that 24hrs to pass and the top coat for protection.
Sorry for any relections or light problems, I will take some photos tommrow in natural daylight before noon and hope for some better photos but I think you get the general idea of what this Pleo looks like. He does have a little pizzaz and that is in the sparkles of greens that may or may not show well in the below photos. He does move well with no problems and the paint is not going to crack or dry out from what I can tell. I am mostly done except for the toes and some fine lines around the face, mouth, but no more colors added. This is a Pleo that would blend in well depending on the season with the dry leaves in the Fall and with the colorful flowers and brighter leaves and plants in the Summer, I will try and take some photos of him at a local garden with flowers in his color, also his browns and greens help him hide by camoflauge , hiding from any predators. :D

please leave some comments and think of names as this may be the one I use in the "name the Pleo Contest" but keep the names to yourself for now! ;) RedwoodsMama

                                                THANK YOU :)
This shows how Pleo can blend in pretty well with the ground because of his colors, from below he is darker, lighter on top.

I commented as you were loading pics - the second one I think, but on seeing more pics it's clearer. I do like the green lines on that dark browny colour, and the yellow really brings it to life - 'natural' definitely doesn't have to be dull. ;D

I'm always amazed with the Pleos I've seen that have been painted at how all the different colours really bring out the blue eyes! I'll be interested to see what finishing touches you add. ;D

I've been working on another one too, I'll post pics soon! ;)

Ok, today I took some more photos and I hope these came out a little better to give you a better idea of her colors,
I esp like the last two both taken indoors but with good lighting and great color!

ok, in case anyone wants to know if the "paint" moves well with movement, here is the "proof of the pudding", ;D a picture is worth a thousand words, so not sure what a video is proof of or how many pictures?! ;D Well here is a shot video, less than 3 minutes that shows the transformation from one paint stage to the final finished Pleo, hope you enjoy the video and like what I did with this Pleo, Oh and by the way just for your information, this pleo had almost perfect skin, not anything bad but I felt confident enough to go for what I wanted to do with her. Let me know if you like the Painted Pleo and if you liked the video. :) We appreciate your comments. I like her best of all my Painted Pleos so far, and I just feel she is a female cause she is so pretty, even though in the wild the more colorful specimens tend to be male, ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wywyzIQeHWw

Cute pleo! I'm glad to see Ugobe's not the only one who has the little brief boot-up spasm of noises grouped closely together. When I first upgraded him to 1.1 it kind of worried me but seeing it just now with this pleo, I know it's okay. I already have a name in mind for this pleo if I have the right idea about her coloring but I'll save it.

I do really like that range of colours together, I can see why you like this one best, RWM. :)

It's easier to see in the video - the colours on the head look different in different lights - it's almost a sort of two-tone tonic effect, I like that.

Having done a Python Pleo, I wanted to have a go at a Boa Constrictor Pleo next. This is the early stages of the project:
