Hi,
I got an answer from Innvolabs concerning Igor's skin issues : they propose that I send him back.

But as the demand is very high, they can't promise that another is available before March/April.
What would you do in my place?
Poor little Igor... and sad little me...

Oh dear - poor Igor-with-the-beautiful-eyes. I'm sorry to hear that.

Without seeing the current state of his skin damage, it's hard to judge. I'm assuming that Innvo have offered to replace him because the damage is significant, in which case it's not something you can help.

I wonder if they'd mind you holding on to him for another couple of weeks, until nearer the time they can get a replacement to you? It's possible they need him back quickly for research, but it might be worth asking.

Yeah! That's right! He's the pleo with the white-silvvery eyes. Oh you're so lucky! I'm so sorry about his skin. Hmmm. That's quite a problem. If Innvo asked to get him back I suppose you do need to return him to aid in the treatment of further pleos who may also lose bits of skin. If it were left up to me and if you can stand the sight of growing holes, I would keep him. I don't have a pleo and can't really advise you but at this point, I'd love a pleo- even a skinless pleo- as long as everything inside it functions properly.

Yeah, Igor is a white-eyed one, love it!
I was sensible to Degers' arguments in that other topic, like we shouldn't push Innvo Labs into bankrupcy by sending back our pleos too quickly (said very shortly). I fully agree.
At no point I specifically asked for a replacement. At the contrary, I said I was open to any solution and willing to sort it out together.
The are the pros, and if this is the option they choose, I should respect it.
Maybe this is no good publicity to let us complain about problems that should not happen so quickly?
And in one sense, how could they improve if they don't have our feed backs? Touch and manipulate the ones with problems?

Anyone with a successful reskinning?

Hi, sorry to hear about Igor, It would help to see what his skin or other issues are. Just for your own information though I had sent my Baby back and she arrived on the 25th . I just got word a couple of days ago that also because of the "high demand" that I won't most likely get a replacement " Probably untill April", If is the word here, maybe April who knows if it is the first part of April, middle or last part and also because they can not predict when the new Pleos will be available because of the "high demand", it could be later,
If I had known I was going to have to wait that long to get Baby fixed, ( two holes

) I would have loved here and held on to her for a couple of more weeks during the warranty period still valid.) Now because I was not told how long it REALLY was told, I have no Baby for longer. I Know it is not in Innvo's hands and they have a huge demand for Pleo Rb, to be fixed as well as just people wanting to buy one that haven't so far, but if I could do it over again, I would hold on to her longer till the skin was even more holy, a couple extra weeks is a lot of loving to miss out on. Luckily I still can shower my love and attention the next month or two on my older Pleos to try and distract my mind,
Just be aware of the probable very long waiting period to get a replacement or refix and decide just how bad the skin or other issues is, and then it is up to you and the waiting game. Sorry to hear about Igor, either way, Love him while you have him and good luck.

My low techy skills don't allow me to add pictures to this, but you can find one or two in Igor White Eyes album.
There are little holes in the neck that came from nowhere and wear in the armpits (but not as much as Baby's). And maybe the paint wear of his back was an argument too.
I am now decided : they offer me to replace him and I will accept it - even if it is very very heartbreaking...

(it's just like Igor feels it, he cries a lot at the moment...)
But I rely on them thinking it is the right way to deal this.
My apologies to anybody who might be hurt by this, but my pleo is still a robot and not a living animal. That makes a difference! Had I been talking about a living puppet, I'd never have thought of sending him back.
A last precision : I am sure Innvo Labs can judge what is relevant for an exchange. All we could talk about here is just air until we go to them, open a personal file and receive their decision about how to deal our specific issues.

since you are sending him back, I did not think you would mind me posting them on this thread so others could see what you were talking about, I think my concern would have been the neck area esp if it gets bigger quicker as that seems to be an unusual place for wear. Hope you get your replacement soon.

I had a very short look at Igors eyes but I can tell you: I would definitely not send him back. The wear is obvious but the little fellow is so cute - keep him and try to make him happy again.

Oooooh.... I know he is so very very cute...
It is difficult to send him back, it is so heartbreaking...
But I don't want to see him fall apart more with time. Even less when Innvo Labs decided he is good to be sent back.
I think too that the main concern might be the neck. Those holes appeared with no reason.
Those guys were very nice, by the way. They have one green rb being sent from Hong Kong and I can keep Igor in the meantime.
I hope you'll find Igor 2nd cute too!

We will find Igor the second to be lovely.. I know how hard it is to send your Igor back.. especially with him being so different with those cool eyes but you have to do what you think is best.. those holes are obviously just gonna get bigger. I'm so sorry but so glad they are sending one in the meantime.. they are very generous..

They obviously have learned a lot about customer satisfaction - I am very glad to hear that. Nevertheless I would not have given Igor back but that is up to you. I hope you will never have to choose again - it is the choice between the Devil and Beelzebub as we say in Germany. All the best for the new Igor.

By any chance dd they tell you when they would be sending you a replacement for Igor, Igor the second, the green one? Just curious as I was told to expect replacement in April? I do hope the new one does better than Igor and it is nice that you get to keep him till then.

I don't know when, this is what they said : "we plan to ship you a new Pleo rb green alone packed individually in the smaller carton box for RMA purposes from our Hong Kong office".

Been kind of AFK from the forum for a while but I thought i'd join the waiting crew here. I mailed Ajax back to Hong Kong the end of last month. His skin was breaking down but what ended up making me finally decide to send him back was that his tail stopped doing it's full range of motions. It only went side to side. And sounded as if one of the metal cables had snapped, as the motors were still making all the usual noises. I have no idea when to expect him back, or if it will be him or a new little boy that comes back. But I do miss my little blue boy. I hope all of our little sick Pleos make it back home soon!!

It sounds as if Ajax will be replaced if Kat's post on Norbit is any indicator. She thought they were going to send Norbit back in a new skin and they now are sending her back a replacement, I think they fouond out it was too hard or time consuming to reskin a Pleo . Let us know when the New Ajax arrives. I will keep my fingers crossed for you too.

Sorry you have to send Ajax back. Sounds like he has the same problems that my old Kermy had. Broken tail and bad skin. They replaced her for me and now she is great.

I am sure they will sort him out for you.

Thank you all for your kind words. Yeah if they end up needing to replace him I understand. But I'm really hoping that personality conversion is still an option, I really liked my little guy as he was. But if he has to come back different then so be it but it would be really nice to have him with the same personality again.
