Ok, just in time, here's Ploo's brand new Star Trek costume!
that's right, I'm a big star trek fan as well as an LOTR one, and I decided that a star trek outfit would be fairly quick and easy to make in 3 days, anyway, enough of me here goes:
(p.s, my mum wanted an honourable mention as she helped with a lot of the sewing)

ImageShack.usHere's the costume as a whole, and (if you know about this sort of thing) you can see that it's an engineer/ security uniform. I based the design on the uniforms of Star Trek: the next generation, and I'm sure you'll agree, I think Ploo looks rather smart.

ImageShack.ushere's a more close up view of the shirt, and you can see the comm badge, also based on TNG, this has velcro on the back so it can fix to any of the three costumes... (more of that later), you can also see the belt, which works the same with all the costumes, and fixes to Ploo by a long strip of velcro underneath his stomach. the thing you can see in the belt is supposed to be a tricorder, however it didn't work very well in the end...

ImageShack.ushere you can see the other side of the belt, complete with phaser (based on the DS9 phasers) it is complete with screen and buttons and fits comfortably in the little pocket on the belt.

ImageShack.ushere is a more close up of the comm badge, which is made with shrink plastic- I traced the design out of one of my Star Trek magazines (yes I have Star Trek magazines), and luckily it was just the right size.

ImageShack.ushere is a close-up of the collar, which I am strangely proud of...

ImageShack.usAnd here, is the Medical/Science costume in that classic blue... I would imagine Ploo is thinking right here 'I'm a doctor not a model...' (congratulations if you understood that)

ImageShack.usHere's Ploo the red-shirt, let's hope he survives more than 5 seconds on an away mission ( it's ok, his phaser is set to stun...)
And that concludes the Star Trek costume, I hope you liked it

But wait, it's not over, just for today, i've taken some pictures of some clothes i made for ploo a while ago, but just wanted to show you:

ImageShack.usit's a lovely knitted scarf and a specially made shrink plastic 'Ploo' necklace- here's a close up:

ImageShack.usI traced the design out of the pleo instruction manual, and I think it looks pretty good..
anyway, that really is it, I hoped you enjoyed my 'Dress up you Pleo day' special- I know Ploo certainly did
