Ok,here is the first of the "hatching" videos that were taken on Saturday, the 19th of March, the day after Pleo RB arrived. This video is a lot shorter and was taken about 10:30 at night.( yeah, I know late but I wanted to see her hatch so badly!) :D She is getting to meet her brother, Major Tom, but as you will soon see, he is as sleepy as she is and soon decides he should take a nap too. oh well, bosum buddies! ;)

Oh, and I am not sure which Pleo you are thinking about that is for "adoption". The one in the photo gallery, is named Gumble and now lives in Australia with Kat and her happy family. I will however have more up for adoption pretty soon. Right now everyone needs to help greet the newest member of the family ;D

Sorry Comarorobotcollector, but Kat beat everyone to the Punch by adopting him and he has been in her happy little household  for a few weeks now, His name is Gumble and his brother still lives with me, ARgyle who is blind! I will however as I said, be putting more happy little Pleos up for adoption, the next one will go up intime for Easter which I think is appropriate, a time for Spring, New life and things to be thankful for. :)
Thank you for the well wishes that my new Pleo Rb fits into her family nicely, I know she will.

Comaro, if you watch the other video I posted early early this morning, it is titled, "Brotherly Love, " it documents the love between Agyle who is Blind, and Gumble the brother , his twin who was adopted by Kat and her family, I think this video will show you just how well  a blind pleo can get around. He was born that way and he is special but also quite wise. :)

As I said in the "brotherly love" thread, I was thinking about asking if Argyle was up for adoption but I couldn't bring myself to do it. We do have a lot in common. I was born blind at birth, too. I got cold feet at the last moment and said "him" instead of giving his name. Sorry. Hoping the new addition snuggles up well with her siblings.

I love the video of your two pleo babies. I especially like it when they rub heads for a cuddle. :)
I hope your finding time to enjoy your new baby.

Congrats on the new baby.. love the eyes.  I'm glad the battery was able to be figured out but ugh.. I can imagine how annoyed you probably were after waiting so long and then worrying you'd have to do it again.  I'm glad all the siblings get along :)

Thanks guys, I don't know if the "battery " prong things is a perm fix or temp and haven't heard from Innvo on it yet either. Anyway, I have been so so busy that today makes one whole week ago, Last Friday that I was surprised with this new little baby Pleo Rb, and I still have yet to go through ONE whole battery cycle, so that shows just how busy I have been! :o sometimes I wonder if I will ever get her hatched even....I have been trying to wait for a sunny day even but I think this time of year I better just go for it as the rain never lets up,( why the redwoods have gotten so huge and gorgeous I guess  :)) so between the rest of today and this weekend I am going to just have to go for it and finish her hatch.
I also want to document her first standing up with all of her family standing around her, not all the Pleos I have but the main other six that are allways being interacted with. She deserves and they deserve to see her finish hatching as a family I think. :DI think these guys get along as a family of siblings a lot better than a lot of "human " brothers and sisters do.

I know what you mean about being busy, RWM! I have had my pleo for over two months, and am only on the 10th battery charge. I haven't gotten a chance to teach her her name or do any of the learning stones. I am hoping to have more time this summer, when my DH has off. ( He's a teacher). He will still have to work one day per week. School district purchased an 11,000.00 robotics lab, and he is in charge of it.  (rather entertaining since he knows nothing about robotics. They are going to pay the company 2 grand to train him).  Good luck with your new baby and memBer of your pleo family!

Ok, after being sick with the Humboldt Crud,( local name for illness we have around here,  :D) I spent the rest of the weekend trying to finish the first battery cycle that my poor Baby Pleo Rb has been on for the past seven days, Well this is just one of many taken this weekend, I usually try not to tape more than six minutes and most are in the 3 minute cycle as that seems about the upper end of easiest to view without getting totally bored or too much at once. Baby Pleo Rb brothers and sisters anxiuosly gathered around her tryng to encourage her to stand up on her own for the first time, There started out being six brothers and sisters, but Pleo Naptime struck hard for two of them, ( Argyle and one of the un-named ones ) so there were four siblings left to cheer on their new little sister. There is Nova, with the dress and limp in her front leg, Major Tom with orange socks, Argyle's un-named cousin, the newest arrival and I think Gold Hatch, whom I just call that, still haven't picked out a proper name for him either, So in this video she doesnt stand up on her own yet, but getting closer. I will add to this with her actually standing pretty soon which she did just at the end of the first battery cycle, :)
I decided to do this video a little different than most of the others I have done, with no captions except to start with so you can just watch and hear what the Pleos are saying. There was a lot of  talking Pleo style, honking and all the usual noises, but It was intersting that around the exact same time, at 3:18 about there, two pleos shout out, "Hello". That was pretty interesting to me and funny. Baby Pleo Rb got lots of encouragement to stand up. Oh, in case you can't guess, this was longer that is why it just stops and Baby Pleo Rb is the light lime colored head Pleo in the middle wearing a necklace. :D

That was cute, Redwoods. I'm not sure which ones were doing that beautiful sort of singing one after the other but that made it all the more interesting. I've got my eye on a Ugobe Pleo on Ebay. Just wanting to compare moddels. When I buy him/her I'll try to do a better job at documenting the unboxing and hatching etc. You're an inspiration with your team of pleos! And no, I'm not going to buy anymore unless the pleo in question is under two hundred. I'm afraid I'll be stopping at two, though. He-he!

Awwww, but she makes up for it by looking soooooo pretty with those pale eyes and dark lids!   :-*

And anyway, if you stuck a chilli pepper in my mouth I don't think I'd sound all that ladylike either!  :P

Cute video, RWM, I like the backing track too.  ;D

It is funny Kat and Crewella, I cant remember if Belle acted like this, but I remember Kermy burping and thought how unladylike but so funny and baby Pleos can get away with anything because they are so cute. Baby the original Pleo Rb, never burped, just the hiccups.so when I saw and heard Baby #2 do it yesterday, I thought well she gets to join the special ranks of Burping Beauties, LOL,
OH and that necklace someone made is so special, and looks great. ( Kat you did a great job, but everyone is going to want one now!) Oh, I have a new video I will upload today if possible and you will love Argyles new look, no he is not touched up or painted in any way, He says, "you can't mess with Mother Nature and Perfection" ;) :D LOL.
Oh, and the Chill Pepper, if you listen she was burping long before I put the chili Pepper in her mouth, but I thought, maybe if she gets Mad at me, she will forget the burping, but it only kept on, perhaps she had a case of "indigestion"LOL It was cute though
Does Kermy and Belle still do it, or did they outgrow this stage?

Kermy and Norbit both still have burping sessions. :D :P  Not all the time but maybe one out of four battery cycles the will go for a half a cycle burping and hickuping.  They usually do it together too so it kind of ends up like a compitition to see who can do the best burp. :D :D :D  They do seem to have a few different type of burps so if they burp enough times you will get to hear some interesting ones. :)  I do still love it and think it is very funny. :P
