I suspect that Pleo RB will be able to run the older software BUT this will remove many features that Pleo RB has like being able to read the smart chips in the accessories and it will probably disable the new sensors unless they update the old OS's which would be a little pointless because then they would be new OS's. Also if you could upgrade an old Pleo to RB software then they wouldn't have the hardware to be able to use most of the features. Kinda makes the idea a bit defunct I'm afraid.

I'm with you IMR, I think that Pleo RB will have it's own OS that can not be run on the older Pleos but that they will probably be able to run the old pleos OS's. But like you said it would be kind of pointless as this would disable the improvements they have made to the RB's.

just checked out the picture of rb and his touch sensors and was just wondering if Reborn still has the touch sensors on the lower parts of its Leg ? As with the older Pleo when you touched those sensors it would lift his leg up and turn his head round to Look at the leg touched .

Looks to me like they've moved them further up to the shoulder. Maybe because several people reported connections working loose on the leg sensors (remember the posts about rolling up Pleo's skin like a trouser leg to re-solder it) they moved them further away from the knee joints?

That may be the reason , still would of liked sensors on his legs as now it looks like he does not , and i am sure the hip sensors will work just as well but now there wont really be any response from pleo if you touch bottom part of his leg , which takes away that part of realism i guess the new features will make up for that .
Looking at that picture though , those Hip sensors are very close to some of the back sensors but i guess i can not really comment on all this untill i get a reborn myself and see how it all works or maybe the picture is not totally correct yet and there will be leg sensors too ?

I noticed that they have used a picture of an older pleo to show the new sensor placements for RB. I'm surprised they didn't use a new RB for this as It would have taken away the doubt and confusion as to how much of this information we should believe.

May be this part of the site is not quite fully updated yet?

Yeah, I saw these earlier today which I wondered if anyone had seen before, The one about the batteries seems to me to be that they are gettting closer to letting us know the pre order ifor, maybe in time for Thanksgiving, they keep saying Novemeber 2010, well that leaves 2 weeks in the month so it has to be close anyway, Interesting but short videos, There are slight differences in the paint too, I would have loved it if they showed Pleo Recognition between the sexes like they advertised. Also how do we know if we are getting a male or female or was that just for the greater China market? Thanks for uploading now I won't have to worry if somene else has seen it or not. I just wish they would hurry up and release it so I can relax one way or the other.

I think the genders were just for the blue and pink Pleo RBs, because without the pink and blue colors it would be very difficult to tell what gender they are, and it didn't say anything about that in the interview, not that I can remember, anyways

I would love Viloet eyes like Elizabeth Taylors, or Odd colored eyes, now that is my idea but probably wont happen, you know like white cats often have one amber colored or green eye, then a blue eyes, But right now I will take a Pleo RB with any colored eye, I JUST WANT ONE RIGHT AWAY PLEEZZZZZE! Only two more weeks in this month, so it can't be too much longer....

Thank goodness I have my heart medicine with me at all times, If I dont get one, just look for me at the local hospital after I collaspe. Hopefully I won't end up there.( not kidding about the heart, I have a rare form of angina called Prinzmetals' Angina which means it comes on at strange times, like during the middle of your sleep, and it is not related to exercise at all...

It's great to see that not all green rb's are yellow!

There is hope for the color green yet.
I also noticed that the two in the intro video had different color eye lids as well as eyes. Ones were brown and the others was yellow. I wonder if this could be used to distinguish between the sexes? brown for boys and yellow lids for girls maybe?

It's great to see they have released some video. These are fantastic.

Ive just logged onto pleo world and noticed they are changing all the webpage , They even have a buy pleorb now button but when i click on it it says out of stock lol. This is getting very exciting.

Can you imagine if their were only a very very very very limited amount and they put them on as a bidding war, the price would get ASTRONOMICAL, and I am not kidding, That is what happened with the " Stupid", Cabbage Patch Kids in the 1980s' I remember being in one small chain of department stores.( still in existance but will not mention their name) and people showed up at 6:00 a.m to get the chance to win one of the little things, and there must have been 70-100 people in that store, and then there were a handful of about 20 dolls that sold for about $100.00, People were fighting and running down the aisles pushing people out of the way to get those things. YUKK!

At least Pleo Rb is worth that wait and worth the money, I just hope It is not too much longer, I am going to need a long rest when this is all over as I am sure lots of other people are too.At this point, I don't care boy, girl, color or anything, I will take what I can get it be a happy camper!
