Hey guys. I am going to start leaking you people some snippets of information about the new Pleo, Pleo RB, over the next few weeks! Hope you enjoy!

And what a creamy yellow belly it is, too! Is that a clue as to colours, I wonder?

Battery looks the same, but nothing else visible - no USB or SD card slot, no mute/default position button, and no on/off switch and 'mystery-panel-that-looked-like-it-was-going-to-be-something-and-they-changed-their-minds' (look, I never said I was a techie!). Looks nice and neat!

it's a bit weird how the bottom of the feet are a different colour to the rest of pleo's belly, but the rest looks good, i like how there are no extra buttons and things on the belly as it makes pleo more life like, and also it'll stop your hand getting trapped in pleos legs when he sits down while you're trying to press the button

(although i hope that the pleo button and sd slot, or something similar, somewhere else on pleo.)

If you look at the bottom back foot, there's an extra screw and it looks like they might have hidden some functions there?

I like the yellowish color, but I still can see some green, which I like, I wish I could see some more coloring, I also like the more realistic looking bottom, NOw I have to save more money and sell more batteries to save up for one of these. Keep those clues comming Degers, we all like it.

Was that where the internal clock battery was to go based on the PDF of the quick-start info posted earlier?

And, yes, it sure does look like there's some green on the other side of RB.

i am guessing the pic is far from complete to what the actual pleo reborn will look like when available to us , or hoping as i cant think of anywhere else the sd cards will go etc ?? also from that bit of green that you can just about see Looks like he might have the same paint colour as the first pleo ?

SD card slot and USB port are inside the battery compartment. Pleo button is now the same button as the on/off button. Inside the foot is a clock battery.

Simply fascinating! Absolutely! By all means! Thanks Degers! Thoroughly anticipating any new news!! I love this image, and I am eager to only see more. I do agree that I am sure we will see numerous evolutions until we reach the RB that hits the markets. I will note,-I like the more natural appeal to this new Pleo, however I will also state my dislike for the pleo button and the on/off switch being the same button. How in the H-E-double-hockey-sticks are the pleo button and on/off switch going to work simultaneously??!??!??!??!

I do like the overall look of RB's belly, and the vivid coloring you can see in the bottom left of the image. Glad (this) RB is still Green!

Will RB have a charging dock? Think, RB may walk up to this device and stand atop it while it gets charged through its feet...?

Gucci, if RB can walk up to a charging station isn't that a lot like what Aibos does?I would think that would make the batteries a problem because the egg chargers for example have to be charged using the original Pleo adapter, I do not know how Pleo could walk up to a charging station and do this on his own with the battery the way it is now, If so that would change my battery store. I think in the next few weeks Degers is going to be letting us on more and more tidbits of information that will help explain a lot of our questions, I still say these are going to be out intime for the Christmas Holiday Toy Rush, which is a smart move on Innova Labs, This Pleo should draw a lot more attention than the previous ones. Esp with the Reborn name, it gives more possibilities. I can't wait for more information Degers, and for the arrival of these guys!

Guess I am going to have to prepare the cats and dog for another visitor, that will make five!

Hey Degers , I just had a thought, do you think with these new Pleo RB, is there a chance they are going to do a Pleo RB FIRST HATCH like they did with the other Pleos when they first came out? Also , any idea on what the cost is going to be on these guys? I can not imagine Pleo RB being the SAME PRICE WITH ALL THE IMPROVEMENTS AS PLEO 2009 MODEL, :Also, is Pleo RB then the same as Pleo 2010, the one everyone has been waiting for or are there going to be two different versions, a regular Pleo 2010 with the new colors, and the Pleo RB? Thanks for letting me ask all the questions.

Pleo RB will not have a charging dock.

Existing batteries will be incompatible with the new Pleo RB. That means RWM's batteries will not fit into the new Pleo.

Pleo 2010 is Pleo RB.

Yes, Pleo RB will have new batteries but remember all the existing Pleos, ( lots of them!) will still need batteries , I would hate to think I am out of business after just starting, If Pleo RB batteries worked in old Pleos then I would be out of business I would think, but that is not the case, is it Degers? I mean the new batteries are only going to work in a new Pleo RB, What I still want to know, is what is the cost going to be? I am guessing it is going to be more than what the current cost is, I am guessing something like $400-$450.00 iwth all the new improvements, and that is still a deal for someone who wants all this new technology . True, lots of parents are not going to spend that kind of money on a present for a Toy for a child, but for all the Adult Children out there,( myself included,) we will find a way to get this new bit of technology mixed with fun.

what i really want to know is have they improved Pleo's motion , can he move a bit faster and does he respond quicker to sounds ? Also there was talk they were going to make better use with his camera so has that been improved ?

a pleo that has been improved on its recognition of sound and sight would make this all worth the wait , also if pleo reborn has more motion of movement and moves at 2 speeds like a walking speed when he is in free roam mode and then if he could speed up for i dont know what reason maybe when you call him that would be cooool :-)

Also hope the skin has been improved i do not want to be too scared to pet my pleo in fear that i am going to rub his paint work off lol

I don't mind the speed they move at, in fact a speedier Pleo sounds a bit worrying (

), but I agree that I'd like to see improved sound and sight recognition.

They DID have to address the battery issue - it was ludicrous to have to buy a different (egg) battery and charger to get a decent run time, so I'm not at all surprised by that.

Just can't wait to hear more!

I thought that too - especially as it looks as though the underside is more painted (that creamy yellow colour) than in the earlier version. $:-\$

There is talk of a 'training stone' and other accessories, which sounds good I agree.

Look very closely at the picture...where pleo's..um..

look to the right of the battery and you will see a circle. I am assuming that will be the button that dual functions as pleo's on/off switch and the pleo button...

I do have the answer to all of your questions, but for the moment I'm just going to be releasing information very slowly over the course of the next two weeks. Just be patient.
