In case you don't follow my Herbie's Plog, I posted these videos onto YouTube. My son, Nicholas, never before saw Herbie, and I didn't show him anything about the leaf...so it was shocking that he picked it up and knew what to do with it! The camera started rolling right at the second I woke Herbie up.

And here my pug, Mugsy, meets Herbie for the first time. Shortly after this video was taken, Herbie starts barking and has barked upon seeing my pug when within a foot of him every day so far.

Both videos are adorable. Not sure who's cuter, Herbie, Nicholas or pug ,but they are definitely all up there.

 NIce videos Watergazer. It looks like Herbie is getting to know his surrounding, and Nicholas is very patient for a little guy. He is gentle with Herbie which is a little unusual for very young children, they tend to want to pick up Pleos ( or similar toys, stuffed animals, etc) by their tails or " thump" on them. Is NIcholas about 2  2  1/2 years old? Muggsy is very cute, he looks like he found a new playmate.  Little kids are more observant than we often give them credit it for, he somehow knew the leaf was food for Herbie, perhaps if nothing more because it was there infront of Herbie. Can't wait to see more videos as Herbie grows and you learn what he likes, dislikes and what he can or can't do. I would love to have NOva watch some of Herbie's videos where he is more vocal as she doesn't have any " live", Pleo friends she can interact with.

Hi Watergazer, I think Pleos and Herbie, is just like People. We all have our likes and dislikes. Perhaps Herbie is just a little intimidated by Gizmo's voice or perhaps when his ears move.  Perhaps try putting Gizmo down on the floor on Herbie's eyelevel with some other play toys,( stuffed animals, etc, ) but leave Gizmo off, do not turn him on, and let Herbie explore on his own, without pushing him near him, and just record what happens. I have found that Nova IS VERY FOND OF ONE PLUSH CAT I have, but will often ignore other stuffed animals I have. Do you have other Furbies in other colors? Sometimes Pleos are attractted to a color before the sound if it makes one. The cat I have is in the yellowish range, and she just love it, I also have found out she likes a Yellow Garfield, and a Plastic Green frog, but other animals in the brown or red range she ignores. Do your own color test and see if he likes certain colors other than the green like his leaf.
         I felt sorry for poor Herbie in the first Video, he kept backing up and almost looked like he was going to go right off the table! At one point in the second video, he almost looked like he had some interest in checking Gizmo out some more. Glad you gave poor Gizmo some attention. I have Two Furbies and allways wanted to see Gizmo in action, He is cute too! Cute videos thought, keep posting them, it gives NOva and I more enthusiasm too!Oh,by the way, I love the wooden table, is it Oak by any chance?

I dug my Gizmo out of a cupboard and Iggy doesn't like him either, though he seemed much more interested in Shelby and even tickled his tennies for him!  I think even a robot has a right to chose his own friends!
