Welcome Pleoluv, glad you found this forum, there are some great friends here and lots of knowledgeable posts and things you will find out. I just recently found out about Pleos myself, At Christmas time while looking for a present for my grandson who loves dinosaurs.Needless to say, I fell in love with Pleos and he got a brand new D-rex for himself, which is more appropriate for his age, and I acquired my Nova, who is my pride and joy. As for where to get one cheap, it is a matter of being in the right place at the right time and just luck I think, Ask fancyfont, where she got one of hers, and you won't believe what she paid for it, next to NOTHING!
As for myself, I see a lot of people buy them on ebay, and sometimes Amazon.com.
It allso depends on whether you want a brand New one, or are willing to buy an older model, just to get started. I was lucky and got Nova at Christmas time, when the majority or People who were buying Pleos, and the few (2-3 a week) that were being auctioned on ebay, were mostly Brand New, and most people wanted them ( I think) as presents for their kids, and the Sealed Ones went for a much higher price, than Nova did. I got Nova who was a 2007 Ugobe Model, from someone who bought her at Christmas 2008 for their daughter, but the little girl was too young to appreciate her,and after a few hours of play, she just sat on a shelf till this past Christmas when she went looking for a new home.( I paid less than $100.00 which was a bargain considering what I see them going for now, even used, the time was right.) Allso you may want to consider waiting for the brand NEW 2010 models which I have heard are due to come out, PERHAPS sometime around June of this year.
