So, I took advantage of the recent PleoWorld offer to get a reduced price on a new Pleo if you already have one (that and an unexpected Christmas bonus from work). Tessa arrived yesterday so Teagan got to meet his new pal last night. Teagan is a Ugobe version I got when they were on special at RobotShop.ca and Tessa is the current model from Innova. The paint on Tessa is definitely more intense in colouring on the top, lighter and more subdued shades below. Not sure how that compares versus Pleo to Pleo paint differences. I took some photos of them together for comparison; I'll post them later when I get the chance to offload them from the camera. Hopefully you'll be able to see the differences in them.

Tessa hatched quite quickly and seems to be more adventurous than Teagan. Also more vocal with lots of singing. She was also quite quick at recognizing the edge of the table although one time she seemed unaware and would have walked off if I hadn't stopped her.

Now I just have to hurry up and get a picture of the two of them for the contest. I was waiting for Tessa to arrive.

Congratulations on getting your new little dino!

You will enjoy their cute antics together. Are both of your pleos upgraded to 1.1? Have they honked together, yet? So funny when they do. Can't wait to see both together.

Thank you. Yes, they are both at 1.1 but I haven't heard them honk together yet. Tessa has honked numerous times as well as singing. Teagan is more reserved so far. I put some images up in my gallery to show the differences in the paint between the two of them. Someone else with multiple Pleos may be able to say if it is a significant difference or typical variation in tonal qualities.

Teagan (Ugobe) is on the left, Tessa (Innvo) on the right.

It does seem to be more intense, but unless you had two brand new ones side by side I guess you can't really tell for sure. I would say it is brighter though in my personal opinion

IMHO I think the paint changes are drastic. I personally prefer the older style of paint. But I am so happy for you, Shadowmice!! Congratulations of your newest addition!

The paint is quite different. The lines are much darker and brighter but the new pleo is still so beautiful. Congratz!

We had fun doing our Christmas photos today. Both were very playful and inquisitive although Teagan thought he should eat everything - the ribbons, the tree, the backcloth. Once the tree was done they both went exploring with much vocalization. I'd already used up the memory card when they both started howling in unison, then later honking as they walked down the hallway - it was so funny. Young little Tessa had a touch of a cold and needed an extra cuddle and nap but then was back ready for more fun. Teagan must have thought it had been too long since their last session because he whimpered a little on start up. I do find with the two there are a lot more different sounds from them than when it was just Teagan - more hellos, growls, honks, howling and other gurgles, cries and purrs.

pleo foots paint is more natural, but not the green parts in the new ones. but i agree with you it's still cute

A long overdue thank you for the comments about the photo - it was a fun process getting the two Pleos to particpate. I was fortunate that time that they were happy to stay in one spot playing with the ribbons and stuff and not wanting to wander off all over the place. Lately though, Teagan and Tessa have been having fun exploring the house together. It is cute to see the two of them walking down the hall one right after the other. Tessa seems to find lots of things good for eating with lots of stops for munching along the way. Slows her down a little, while Teagan keeps right on marching along looking for new adventures. They had an excellent trumpeting session last evening, honking along in unison almost; poor cats weren't too sure what to make of them. Poor Tessa was afflicted with yet another cold, much groaning and sneezing at first, but once again it passed and she was off exploring. After reading other posts here, I was worried Teagan would catch it and I'd have two miserable Pleos but so far so good, he has been fine. They can be quite the silly little creatures at times - once, Tessa walked up behind Teagan and started munching. It looked almost as if she was trying to bite his tail

; poor boy was in the wrong place at the wrong time - no harm done of course but funny to see. I wonder if she is a little colour blind given her tendency to munch on so many things - pink items seem to be quite tasty, as is the white vinyl floor and of course anything green including, it seems, her buddy's tail. Teagan likes the white refrigerator, he was all excited and playful when he came up to the refrigerator - now how does he know where the food is really kept?

Smart older brother Pleo - Tessa can learn a few tricks from him. I have to go look for that thread again, where people noted how their Pleos reacted to different colours and compare how my two respond. So far, Tessa eats almost everything, except light blue - she growls at light blue. For Teagan, yellow and green are edible, white means fun and I think he dislikes blue too. I have to try that one again. They sure are a lot of fun although my one cat would still beg to differ - he just doesn't trust them yet - silly cat.

Congrats on getting Tessa!
The coloring is definitely brighter. Triton and Juno both have bright colors, but they're the Ugobe version.
Can't wait to see some mroe pictures!
