I will be buying one AFTER Christmas I just can't afford one before Christmas. Well I could but that means no one would get any Christmas pressies

sincerely, i cant understand why Jetta didnt uploaded photos or videos of the new Pleo on the website. In these days this is the first way to pubblicize a product...

Innvo Labs support swears the *look* the same. So no point in publishing new photos. And Yes, Next years will look different . . . But that may be mid to late next year.

maybe i'll wait next year when the new pleo will be available on ebay, 400$ plus customer fees (50/60$) are too much for me

Mike, yes the Pleo it's the same, i agree, but on the website the companion guide is still the Ugobe's Guide!!!
My words are abut the communication with the old and especially new customers... there aren't pics, videos and other things on the new website, it's very static and boring and it's online since september

I received my new improved 2009 Pleo last week. I never had one of the originals so I don't have one to compare it to but I've seen a lot of pictures and videos on YouTube and to me he looks exactly like the original.

Rex my pleo is one of the new ones and he’s quite glossy looking too.
I would have posted up picks of the box and rex but No good with cameras so I couldn’t take picks sorry.

I would have to agree with degers based on the pictures posted here. But with variations in cameras, lighting, and production (I've seen a wide range of paint jobs in Pleos!), you can't really tell without getting someone to take a side-by-side comparison on a Ugobe pleo next to a '09 pleo. But you have to imagine if Innvo has changes the paint to make it last longer, they had to either put more paint on, put a clear protective coating over the paint, or go with an all-new paint. Either of the first two options would likely create a brighter color or glossier look. A new paint might logically be a glossier paint to help prevent wear.... But for now, we can't tell for sure.

Maybe someone with both models will one day post a photo!

Hmmm.... Maybe Innvo should send me one so I can settle the debate!!!

Lol yeah but in order to make a fair comparison you’d need a new out of the box ugobe pleo as well as an inncvo labs 09 pleo. Or am I just being pedantic lol
Don’t know if it’s just the light but the black stripes on my pleos back look more like a dark blue. I think it must be the way the light reflects off them maybe but they definitely have a blue black sheen to them.

yes, i agree with Mweed, maybe the new paint is slighly glossy or (some of the ugobe's ones were slighlty glossy on their back in the second production).
