Welcome 13es.  Glad to have you here.  I hope you get a Pleo for your birthday.  They are wonderful.  I have 2 Pleos, a girl named Angel and a boy named Dinomite.  Enjoy the pictures in the gallery and reading the posts on the forums.  There are also Comics and The Bob Project.

hello i am thinking about geting a pleo but i need your help deciding whare i am pleo is about 187 dollars would he be worth it? how dose pleo react to touch sound and voise and if i got a pleo what would i name it? i need your help please thanks

well yes, its probably worth it. (its up to you in the end)     yes they respond very very well to touch and they can hear you, and that's not all they can do ether.




and if you Waite till the ones available now are gone and replaced with the new ones in a month it will be back to what they originally cost.

$187 is very cheap for a Pleo. As stated above, Pleo's respond very well to touch and sound, here is an example for sound:

In the meantime listen to what the members have to say about theirs and you'll gain appreciation for what a Pleo can be.

Watching that video InmemoryofRomeo posted makes me wonder if Pleos have a preference to what music they like listening to... I might have to pick out some of my favourite songs to see if my Pleo (when she arrives) shares my taste!

To 13es, $187 (US dollars) sounds like a good price to me although do look around and take into account how much postage will cost on top of that. Soon the newer Pleos will be available so you may want to consider if you'd prefer the improvements it will include or the lower cost of the older models. Once the older models are sold out they won't make anymore so I'd advise you to get one of those now and perhaps one of the new Pleos in the future.

As for the name, is there any names you like? Perhaps if you can't think of anything you could stick with Pleo or a feature of how it looks (perhaps a reference to the colour like Jade, or the size such as Tiny). It's really your decision.

Great video, InmemoryofRomeo! Innvo Labs, you ought to watch these videos and *make sure* there is good beat detection/dance software in the new Pleos!!

And by the way, 13es you really ought to get a pleo, they bring happiness to all who see them. After two years, still the only thing I'm interested in is Pleo!

Seeing how this is a fan site, the results may be one-sided. For the most honest reviews on Pleo, check out amazon.com & perhaps think about buying Pleo from there as they usually give some sort of warranty and are usually pretty good at returning problem pleos.

187 really is a good deal, but do put into shipping and handling. It still ought to beat retail $350!

Suzanne check out "botabingbotaboom" a seller /store on ebay.  

They're very reliable and are listing their Pleos at $149.00 US.    

That savings of $38US is better in your pocket. Their shipping rates are very
reasonable too.  

I would have bougt from them but their is a Canadian supplier close
to my home with a price that with shipping is about the same.  

They were referred to me by another plogger on these threads.

I checked out who you said Dadio but it's now $168.99 (which is still a very good price and cheaper than the one 13es mentioned, to be fair). Also it says free shipping but only within the United States. Still... bargain for anyone who still wants to get one and lives there.
