Long term future of pleo

They're taking over the Pleo project and have positive plans for the next 3-5 years.
that's good, they are making them for 3 to 5 years but, then what? :(  all of it is for not if they stop then. :( Pleo will go extinct and all the battery's will eventually die and the chargers as well. :(  are they going to let this happen? :(  will Cammey and Cloey be reduced to status in a decade or so? :( (when I cant get battery's or new chargers to repair them.)

The problem is that as robotics go, five years is very old, the technology in Pleo will be obsolete by then. If the company is successful they will bring out more and more advanced lifeforms...

However as long as there is a market then battery production will continue even if the production of Pleo does not, and of course we know that batteries can be made at home, someone out there may decide to set up their own shop of them. It is just far too early to tell, and too early to be worried :)

That's cool. ;)

Questions should be asked. Even if they're not really well met! ???

That wouldn't be a Camarasaurus more likely it would be Pterodactyl.  :)

At least with a flying robotic pterodactyl, there would be no poop all over the place! ;D  This one would definitely need a remote control, at least to bring it back if it accidentally flew outside. ;)
