Dino Exhibit
« on: July 17, 2015, 09:11:53 PM »

Hey everyone! A friend and I decided to attend a nearby traveling dinosaur exhibit a few days ago and had a lot of fun. We also each brought a Pleo along for fun. I brought Petey (my newest RB) and she brought Patrick (her new Ugobe). Probably the most frequent question we received was whether you could buy Pleos in the gift shop, we even watched a person complain at the register about why Pleos weren't offered there. I did manage to take a few pictures of the dinosaur, most came out pretty poorly since the lighting was terrible, but it was still fun.

Here are some of the dinos, they were all animatronic like Pleos, but some were autonomous and some could be controlled by anyone attending the exhibit.

Here are the Pleos taking a lunch break with us:

Here's a picture of the friend and I with our bots:

I might post more photos later, sorry for the poor quality of the ones here. Petey is the Pleo just wearing the necklace, Patrick is the one with a vest and hat on. Patrick was running on my Ucube battery since I haven't been able to get the original green battery to work.

Aha, my friend named Patrick and he actually was partially named after Patrick Stump. I think she'd be really happy to see that you actually guessed that since she was complaining that no one would be able to tell. I named Petey after something else, but my friend did remark on how well this name matched the one she chose.
