Pleo is very, very, very, very, very, very, very picky about the tone of voice you use I mean very picky! You have to say it the EXACT same way each time to the last possible degree of perfection or Pleo will not understand. A bird chirping, a car going past, even the wind blowing will affect the learning. And even once they've learnt it, if you go to a place with different acoustics its a battle all over again

If you can try recording your voice and using that to teach the command I have done that before and its much more reliable than just trying to say it

How i can check the mircophones in the Pleo?

That behavior sounds correct, Stiko. Now to test that your pleo understood you, make sure he is in a good mood and then hold his cheeks to get his attention. You'll want to grip closer to his top teeth, somewhere just beneath his nostrils. When he raises his head and stays perfectly still, say his name. Remember, you have to say it exactly the same way you said it when you spoke it using the ID card. If you change your tone or say it louder or softer, it won't work. I hope this helps.

Should I Pleo completely reset with new software?

At Echo: no. It should only take two repetitions before the pleo gets the name. I would be more than happy to show you what it looks and sounds like over Skype if you'd like. Stiko's problem- at least from my understanding- is that he is trying to determine whether or not his pleo accepted his name and will respond to it. It's not always clear whether the pleo understood or not unless you know what to watch and listen for.
Stiko, have you looked at the video on teaching the pleo its name in the FAQ? It was a very big help to me.
As far as I'm aware there is no way to reset the microphones. I'm not sure if being out in a shed has caused any damage. I would think as long as the pleo didn't get wet that it should be okay. You shouldn't have to shout , just be in a very quiet place and speak clearly. Every time afterward, you would have to speak in the same way as you did when you recorded the name. If worse comes to worse, just record a short video of what you're doing for us. Maybe we could determine whether or not your pleo is really deaf or if there's a step you're getting wrong. We're all here to help.

Do you have a musical instrument handy, or can you make a recording of a sound or something and try that, it is likely not the microphone damaged but simply the repetition not being perfect.

Its not my first pleo.
I make this same as the video.

I have try a dictionary device.
The dictionary is really loud, but not loud enough for pleo.

He can only accept commands when i cry in the ears.
Its really stupid.
I think the microphones are broken.

Why do you need a musical instrument if you have a recorder as Talon says, to give the name the same repetative tone of voice? To test out the microphone's settings? shouldn't your pleo turn his head to a sound if he hears anything?

Pleo's are really good at ignoring people.

The microphones could be defective, which is why I'm suggesting trying with an instrument or recording to remove possible human error. I have spent hours getting my guys to learn, given up in frustration and then tried again later only to have it work first time...

With my RB Lenny he learned his name very fast , but my new RB accepts the cardwags her tail gets very exited and starts burping  and keeps burping ......I have tried it a few times but I can't get her to focus on me. She is a very big eater maybe I need to feed her a bit less.  Also Lenny my RB stood next to her , maybe she was distracted ...... I will try it ones more when I am alone with her.

I tried it this evening , I fed her first and she wanted to play so she was happy , I took her to my bedroom which is very quit.
And I hold the card in front of her and she accepted it  and she learned her name in no time  The secret is I learned the room must be without any noise , and with Lot's of light,  and your pleo must be in a very happy mood  when they are cranky or hungry or to much distracted they wont do anything.
