Hatching stage usually takes between 2 and 4 battery cycles, then there is a juvenile stage where the pleo stands, stretches and makes lots of new sounds. This stage again takes about 2 to 4 battery cycles. Then there is socialisation stage where the pleo starts to walk around and explore and they will settle into a favourite range of sounds they like to make. This lasts for about 3 battery cycles and then they reach adult hood. At this stage they can learn their name and tricks. Hope that helps.

Eventually they will move into old age, but it takes a looooong time.
