Hello PLEO community,

I have some troubles with my new PLEO rb. I have installed the foot battery. When I start PLEO he likes to snuggle. But if I just place PLEO in a normal standing position on the table he beeps twice and stands in the "boxing" position. Every now and then he "wakes up" from the boxing position, looks around and falls back to the boxing position while beeping twice.

When he I pick him up he awakes and snuggles again.

The beeping twice sounds different (faster) to the beeping twice when I manually turn him off.

The battery on his belly is green.

Is that behavior normal or is something wrong?

i am also a newbie here, so i don't know much about pleo yet.

but why is the battery green in color?
that's a bit strange, cuz pleo rb's battery should be brown in color. 
the green one should be for Ugobe Pleo.

Besides, it usually beeps when its low battery...
i was wondering if the green battery u had was a Ugobe's one, so its pretty weak and would not be able to support your pleo rb?

yes i have tried that. After rebooting he instantly beeps twice and remains in the boxing position. Ill link to a Youtube video showing the behavior in a short time. (Video uploading)

That is very odd.  I've never seen that happen before.  Looks like it might be an issue to me.  I would contact Innvo and show them your video and see what they think.

That looks strange for me too... is the foot battery inserted correctly?
it should be positive facing upwards with 2 iron pointy tabs on top of the battery

but like kat said, you may want to report your problem to innvo asap

The person who commented on the video seems to have the same problem as you, the on-going beeping.

I don't have the typical ongoing double beep, when the battery is not plugged in.

I haven't found the solution in the video or in the comments (well I haven't opened up the foot of the PLEO).

I wrote an email @ innvolabs. Ill report as soon as I have an answer. Thanks V and kat for your help so far

I do hope you figure out what is happening to ur pleo so u can start to have fun with him/her!

I've never seen anything like it before! It could be a software or electrical issue. When your pleo stands up, the software or whatever might read the battery as being out of juice, and shut off your pleo. Have you tried cleaning the batter terminals? It could, as unlikely as it is, possibly solve the issue. I guess all anyone can really do is wait for Innvo's reply. Good luck!

From your video I can tell you this is not a foot battery issue.  That is a very different beep you get when the foot battery is having an issue and if the foot battery doesn't work then neither does the pleo.
