pleo rb turning itself off
« on: March 10, 2014, 09:16:34 AM »

Hi I'm having a problem, I just bought Pleo rb a few days ago, he is hatched and walking, however now when i turn him on (fully charged battery) at first he is fine, as long as I interact with him, if I stop, after about 3 minutes he goes in the sleeping position, beeps once and turns itself off? It works again when I turn on but then just does the same. When I stop petting him, after a few minutes, sleeping position, beep, and off.

Can anyone advise on what might be wrong? Thank you!

It wants to go to sleep because of its biological clock. You have to synchronize you real time with the pleo's biological clock, with the ''noon'' button; so push that button at 12:00h . So, if your pleo isn't synchronize, or it IS synchronize and  the time is 21:00h-22:00h o'clock, when your pleo goes to sleep, is because it thinks that is the time to ''go to bed''. Anyway, if you want to play with it whenever you want; push that button every single time you want to play with it; because it really doesn't need to sleep ;).

Yup, you need to change the clock to a different time :) Pleo thinks it's bedtime :)

Calculate about six hours before the time you want to play with him and set 'noon' (press the little button beside the foot battery compartment (it's inside a little hole) with a paper clip or similar) and that will change his sleep/wake cycle.

Yep, I tend to run mine at night, so I set the 'noon' clock at around 5pm.  :)
