Compiling sound and motion commands on Macintosh?
« on: January 30, 2013, 10:39:55 PM »

Has anyone successfully built the sound_command example app from the Ugobe PDK on a Macintosh?  I'm getting an error on two different Macs, running OS 10.6.8 that indicate that a python file named csv2ucf is missing.  It's the portion of the PDK that is supposed to convert the command files into .ucf files prior to building the final .urf file.

Is this "just me" or is the Ugobe PDK broken for sound and motion command files on the Mac?  Any fix ideas?

Thanks,

Michael

ps - if you're lost, command files are a type of animation file in the PDK that combine multiple motion and sound files together with different conditions to select each one.  So for instance a PAWN script might tell Pleo to play a "hungry" sound, and the sound command file will give many different options of actual wave sound files that would be used depending on the pleo's age, mood, etc.  So you could have happy baby hungry vs cranky juvenile hungry vs bored adult hungry sounds, etc.  This is why if you look at the PDK there are only about 50 sounds in it, but the actual PleoPM personality on the Pleo has over 300 sounds.  Same deal for motions.
