Hi everyone! I was updating my Pleo rb with this  http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=63
So, it updated well, he sounds quite well, all the steps were good... but, when he sleeps, he don't want to wake up.
The Green led is on but he doesn't move at all. I can't turn off too.

Any idea? Also when I was updating him, the woman voice always sounds and I can't turn off it.

My pleo is a forever dream and he can't wake up, he is in coma.

I need help, ideas. I wrote Pleo technic support and I dont have any notice.

Your Pleo would have been already updated, you didn't need to do it again.

Have you removed the SD card??? It rather sounds like you haven't.

Of course! I removed the SD card!

I canīt understand why my Pleo rb dosenīt wake up !

This is a bit of a mystery.  Did you have a fully charged battery before you did the update?  Maybe the update didn't complete properly?  You could try updating again and see if it makes any difference.  Not really sure what else to suggest.  Maybe try pressing the reset button.  Sometimes that will help bring pleo rb out of a problem.  Hopefully we can work out how to get him going again.  Maybe someone else will have some suggestions of other things you can try.

I try again with the update and itīs the same problem .
Pleo works fine after the update, but when the batery runs out he canīt wake up again. 

How can I use the reset button?

So just to clarify exactly what is happening - you complete the update, immediately switch off and remove the SD card then replace the battery back into pleo, turn back on and he runs till the end of the battery cycle and then next time you put a fresh battery in he wont wake up?  Just want to be sure we understand incase someone else will see something I'm not.  It seems very strange that he will work straight after removing the micro sd card but then refuse to go again after that battery cycle is over.  I don't think we have ever seen this issue before.

As for the reset button it is a little pin sized hole on the edge of the battery compartment.  If you turn pleo on his back the reset button is on the left hand side of the battery compartment.  You will need to use a paperclip to press it.  I'm not sure if the pleo needs to be switched on or not so maybe try it both ways. 

If that doesn't work then you may need to wait for innvo to help as I'm all out of ideas

Can I suggest trying the following as well:

Removing the clock battery, turning the Pleo on, pulling the battery out to turn them off, replacing the clock battery again, turning the Pleo back on.

Hitting the reset button located in the belly (look for a tiny pinhole)

Cleaning the silver parts on the battery and charger with a teeny tiny bit of alcohol on a Q-tip or cotton swab.

Also as Kat says, could you give us a clearer picture of what exactly is happening please, you are updating, taking the SD card out, turning them on, running them through a battery cycle then turning them off, and then nothings happening? Do we have that right?

Sorry, maybe I have not explained very well, Iīm going to explain step by step;

-I unzipped the file ---> http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=63 ---- >  and copy all unzipped files to a blank MicroSD card.

-I remove the battery from Pleo and inserted the MicroSD to the card reader.

-I inserted a fully charged battery .

-I switched on Pleo and I waited 2 minutes. A voice told me "UPDATE COMPLETE".

-The first problem started here: I could not turn off Pleo, so I remove the battery.

-I remove the MicroSD card and inserted the battery again.

-I switched on Pleo and he was very good.

-When the battery is turned off, I could not wake up Pleo again.


I was try to do the same steps again, but the same thing happens again... I don't know what can I do...

Please try the steps outlined in my above post and then get back to us, it sounds like either a battery terminal issue, or a clock issue.

I try the steps that you told me, but itīs the same problem: I turn on my Pleo and the light itĻs green but he doesnīt wake up.

I clean the battery, remove the clock battery....but nothing...

So please, does anyone have any idea?

This sounds like what my Pleo was doing...only mine wouldn't tell me that the update had worked.

It started with me not being able to turn him off, and then after a few battery pulls he wouldn't turn back on or wake up it seemed.  I would get the power indicator light, but nothing else. 

Was the Pleo working before you upgraded it??  Or was it doing something strange that caused you to update?  I don't know anything about these little guys, but the others might be able to understand what was happening if you let them know why you updated to begin with.

It does sound like it might be a similar issue, I'm wondering if it's worth trying the update again ...... but others on here know more about that kind of thing than I do .......

I think it is time to contact Innvo and let them know.  Maybe they can help? I can't think of anything else to try

Except stress to any other new Pleo RB owners that their Pleo will already be running the latest update AND DO NOT UPGRADE.

I have sent an email to Innvo and am awaiting a response.
I do not know if they can help me there, I hope that if it does not know what else to do with my little Pleo.
I tried to update again, but the same problem.
One thing that happens is that when you turn off after upgrading one eye is open and the other closed. It's very strange.

I do not know if anyone can help me, I'm thinking of trying to connect it to your computer and see if I can do something with the software but do not really know how it goes, can anyone help me with this idea or know something?

I'm thinking that I will not be able to get my Pleo.

Something more is that  I'm sure it's not the battery problem, because I have two batteries.
