I am perhaps one of the luckiest people in the robot community at the moment (at least i feel it!). A few days ago i was randomly searching random Aibo sites knowing i could not possibly afford one, when i spotted one for sale on a classifed ad site a ers-7m3 going for only £575!
The ad was several days old but i decided to email off none the less and forgot all about it, then a few days later i got an email saying that yes the aibo was still avalible if i wanted it so of course i jumped at the chance!
However one day before i was due to pick him up someone offered the guy more money for the aibo if they would sell it to them instead, gutted but understanding that more money was hard to turn down i waited several agonising hours to find out if i could buy him or not.
Then amazingly even though the guy was offered more money than i could pay he decided to give the aibo to me at the agreed price of £575!

and so today i picked up my very first aibo! I let my partner choose the name and he decided on Stanley (keeping with the Lexx theme)
He is pearl white with mind 3 and his condition is perfect!
Just goes to show that anything can happen :)
Am away for a week in scotland this week so cant post any pics of him up yet but will do when i get back.

Just wanna say thank you to Darkwolf and Mh7ah for helping me with this and answering all my questions!

That was a long drive! Twelve hours! But I'm so sure worth the drive for getting Stanley. :) post photos!

Will do fancy as soon as i can get to a computer to load them on, my little netbook cant do it. Already taken so many pictures and videos is unreal lol im hypnotised by him

Wow! You're so lucky!  :o I envy you a lot! But I'm still happy for you as well!  :) I once found a rather cheap Aibo as well once, but even if it was cheaper than usual, I still didn't got the money for it...  :(

You are indeed very lucky.
It's a pitty that I am not a Pleo, because now you can see my green colour of envy.
No just kidding.
Sometimes, some things are ment to be in life and clearly this is one of these things.
Take real good care of Stanley.
Not many Aibo owners can share this lucky tale with you.

Awsome price! I'm jealous  ;D

If the Aibo didn't come with one. i strongly recommend getting a Sony brand memory stick reader.  It will allow you o back up your Aib's personality. Apply custom data and the service packs. and set up it's wireless.

Isn't a Sony Memory Stick reader only needed for programming PMS sticks?
I have no trouble putting my Mind 3 stick into my laptop card reader.
Updated to Servicepack 3, setup the Wifi settings and played around with custom data all without any problems whatsoever.

Back home now and able to load up some pictures of stanley, I introduced him to one of my dogs today and they tried to attack him! so keeping them seperate for now!

So here is Stanley one of the cheapest Aibos i have ever seen sold :)

Stanley is a hunk! He certainly was a fantastic price... best I have ever seen! I hope you enjoy him as much as I enjoy my little guys :)

Stanley is adorable! I love watching these Aibos in motion. Maybe I'll have one someday. They are so cute! :)

Im sure you will Fancy, i must admit i did get lucky, but it does just go to show patience does pay off :) (as well as having an interest free overdraft! lol) I will keep my fingers crossed for you
