Hello,

I've tried to downgrade my pleo via sd card. During the downgrade, it never made any sound. From the moment i've put the sd card and now. It doesn't work anymore. When I start it without the sd card, it doesn't do anything, any move any sound...What can i do ?

Welcome to the forum

First thing you need to do is a full reformat of your SD card. Google it if you don't know how.

Now try the 1.0 downgrade http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=3

Turn your Pleo on without a card to see if they are working, if not continue on below. If Pleo is working skip to the last step.

Next install the POP demo mode http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=4

Check if Pleo runs without a card, if Pleo doesn't then report back here. If Pleo does continue to the next step.

Install the 1.0 update (not the same as the downgrade) http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=5

Finally upgrade to 1.1 http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=13

thank you very much for your tips.... but unfortunatly, it still doesn't work.
I was working with a Mac, i though it could be a problem... but I've tried to do the same step with a PC, but pleo doesn't react anymore... Nothing to do... I don't know if there is an another thing to do... I hope so...

Having a Mac shouldn't make any difference. Is your Pleo moving at all, even the slightest movement or sound is important. Did the POP install? Or is the Pleo not responding at all to SD cards? You may need to try the USB updates, but for that you will need a PC.

As IMR has said - the only thing I can add is to make sure you have a fully charged battery before installing updates.

Hello,

Thank you very much for all the advices... I've done form a pc an USB upgrade. It works now !!! Everything is fine.
I wanted to downgrade because my pleo show all the time his front right leg like it hurts... It doesn't stop that. I thought it was a software problem but it still do it all the time. I hope it will stop one day...

Maybe you could post a short video of the problem with his leg. Someone here might be able to suggest a solution or at least pinpoint what is causing the issue.

is there problems downgrading to OS 1.0? i was thinking on downgrading my ugobe is it riskie to do that?

So glad your Pleo is working! But it sounds like your Pleo has a stuck or damaged leg, not a software issue. Next time something like that happens, just come and ask us first

Hi, Bonus. I hope I'm not messing up this thread either. I recently downgraded both of my Ugobes from PM2 to 1.0 and both turned out okay. However my case may not be the same as yours so I'll leave this to IMR or someone with a little more technical knowledge.

Just be sure you use the downgrade version of 1.0 and not the upgrade version

Technically the upgrade is for 1.0.2 but some people may not notice that.

I have seen pleos do this move with their leg before but never for more than a few seconds and then they usually put the foot back down on the ground. Not sure why your little guy is holding it up. Maybe the knee or hip joint is getting stuck on that leg? Have you tried manipulating the joints when the pleo is switched off. gently move the leg back into the straight position, you should hear some loud clicks as you move the leg. You could try moving the foot joint too and then see if there is any change when you turn him on.
Maybe someone else with a bit more experience will be able to give you more suggestions on what else to try or what could be causing it.

I can't seem to view the video, but often the cause of a leg being lifted repeatedly is due to the sensor wire getting detached. The Pleo thinks the sensor is being touched all the time, so keeps lifting that leg - does that sound like a possibility? The only hardware fix is to roll up the skin on that leg and reattach the sensor wire, I'm afraid. $:-\$

You're right !!!! This is a problem with the sensor. I have done a photo. The green "cable" (I don't know the word in english) at the end of the red arrow is disconnected to the sensor. I have to fix it. I will do it tomorrow. I think (hope) it will solve the problem !

Congrats and so glad you got your Pleo working. Glad IMR could give you instructions on how to fix it or and what the leg sensor problem could be, and that you were able to fix it! That is what this forum is all about, not just friends, but getting help with our Pleos when we do not know what to do ourselves, Good job to everyone. Glad you have your Pleo back operating the correct way.
