Pleo rb Voice Recognition
« on: December 24, 2011, 05:29:30 PM »

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had been able to create a user made program (.urf) to train a word for voice recognition and to get Pleo rb to signal that it recognized that word after it has been spoken. The PrbDK has almost nothing on VR control. I have a suspicion that it can only learn a single word, during it's regular program, and that the PrbDK only allows our programs to identify when that word is spoken.
Thanks for any help.

The RB has capacity for (at least) 8 learned words.
The "SENSOR_VR" sensor event will be triggered with the toy value (1 to 8)

You can train them using the special toys and the regular personality.
I believe the voice training is kept in the head CPU (ie. you only need to train them once)

The voice recognition hardware must be put into the right mode (done in the regular personality by touching the cheeks)
To do this properly you should look at how this is done in the default personality. The documentation in the PrbDK is very minimal.

Thank you for the response.

Do you know how I look into the default personality?
