That one was an early prototype, before they'd really designed the skin and paint that would be used in manufacture.

I think this was a proto-type.  Other more knowledgeable people on the Forum will know - and posted while I was posting!

That one was hand painted, I think - there's no way they could hand paint all of them.

Also- unless they edited it out- the motors weren't as loud either. It also makes some different sounds than thenormal pleo. I owe a lot to this video. It was what pulled my sister over the edge enough to agree to let me have an autonomous robot wander through her house. Now there are four of them!

i have mentioned in my posts in the past that this would be a preference colour i would go for on Pleo for sure and it does look more realistic that colour i agree

Yeah. I've no way of knowing this thing's coloration but if Innvo was going for a "lifeform", I would think they would color their product that way or at least offer it as a possible choice. My cousin's exact word for their current appearance was "toy-ish". Nevertheless she really enjoied getting to know my two RB's.
