I have been doing a little research into the feasibility of starting a fashion label for Pleo I have noticed that while it isn't too hard to find dog coats that do fit Pleo they are either expensive, don't quite cover all of the back or they are just plain difficult to get on Of course every now and then you come across a little coat that is perfect but they seem to be few and far between at least they seem to be here in Australia.

I was discussing that problem with my Nan and being the wise all knowing person that she is, she said well why don't I do something about it So I just might But first of all I need to know a few things from all you Pleo lovers out there

1) Would you actually want to buy something like Lilo is wearing? Booties included of course. (Please note that Lilo's outfit is hand sewn and the product I would sell would be machined and a lot more 'polished'.)

2) If you would buy something like that how much would you be willing to pay for it. (There is a particular price I must sell for to cover costs and time however I won't give that figure just yet since I don't want to influence anyone.)

3) Would you be willing to wait for it, remember I live all the way down under lol, average postage times to the US by sea mail is 2-3 weeks.

4) Anything you would like to add, suggest, comment on...

I totally think you should do it. I was actually about to put my order in at Pleofashions.com for a new shirt for Sophie. But now I might take my money elsewhere. :-D I do think you ought to look at her page and get a feel of the prices she is listing. I just paid 12.99 USD at Petco for one shirt. So anywhere around there would be great for an outfit and booties!

Lol no just me Nan is busy enough She makes mini pancakes at markets every weekend with my Pa, yum!

Some further info:

They will be under $20 USD, the exchange rates help cover the cost of international shipping, need to confirm with the post office the best way to ship them though. They should be able to be sent as letters rather than parcels which is around $4 cheaper.

International shipping is 4-10 business days via airmail. Some countries take longer, some are quicker... Sea mail is cheaper but so much longer so I would avoid using it if possible.

I won't be starting for a while though Need to track down a decent sewing machine But I would definitely be up and running by the end of April.

I would be hoping to do something a little more fashionable than PleoFashions Jumpers are fine for around the house, but when you want to step out you need something with a little more style lol.

Yes I agree with both of you! It would be something I would cherish just because you made it, thinking of Sophie.

But I agree Pleofashion is very cute. I wasn't too pleased with her selection, but the thought of it being hand made specifically for Pleo was enough for me.

A little Swagman's outfit perhaps, or a Jackaroo or Jillaroo (A Jackaroo or Jillaroo is a person who rides a horse and works with sheep or cattle) Although personally I want to do an Elvis outfit, complete with cape, rhinestones, the works lol.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they don't cover the whole back, so when you pet your Pleo he/she is going to end up with a faded rump

I have had shirts made to order by the lady,  and they are just what I ordered.  But I can just imagine what you will come up with. Your creativity can go wild!!

OMG this such a good idea I would love to buy some little outfits for kairi from you. Yeah the clothes i've gotten for her from ebay seemed a little tight and the dog clothes have huge necks, so clothes made for specially for pleos would be great
