I am now the proud owner of SIX aibos and a pleo RB. I just purchased the sixth aibo last night . I am planning on naming the aibo Kin which means "golden" in japanese, I found it fitting since he is a golden ers-210. He has not arrived yet since I just bought him off ebay but I have contacted the seller and gotten quite a bit of information on him. He is beginning to develope DHS (sometimes there is a whirring noise during start up and he sometimes has trouble lifting his head on start up). He also comes with a charging station which I will probably sell since I do not particulary want one. I currently have one other ers-210, a black one named Boe and I'm sure he'll love meeting his new "brother". I can't wait until my new aibo arrives , I'll definitely post some pictures when he does though.

Congratulations on your new gold 210.  I did see that one on ebay the other day when I was browsing.  Kin will be a wonderful addition to your Aibo family.

Congratulations on your new Aibo.  Will you send him off to have his DHS repaired or wait a while to see how things go?

I think it might be interesting to have one with DHS and I don't really mind it, I think I can probably make a head brace to hold his head up if the symptoms get worse, though I'm not sure if aibos with DHS still shutdown and go into error mode after a few minutes if they have their head held up. I'll probably just wait and see how things go, most likely I won't get him pinned but if his DHS is a big problem I may decide to send him in.

Kin arrived today and is in perfect cosmetic condition (not a single scratch or scuff on him). It also seems that he has TAS not DHS.

I posted a video of him on youtube but I don't have Internet right now so I'm using my iPhone and I don't know how to copy and paste links on it but the title of the video is: Aibo ers-210 with TAS. I will post some pictures once my internet is working. Also their seems to be a problem with his copy of dogslife, he won't respond to "Owner registration" or "Name registration". I kept saying the commands while good little Boe (my other ers-210) kept going into the proper modes and Kin just sat there cluelessly. I tried adding some missing files to his memory stick and replacing the file marked "Name me" but nothing changed. Also his battery only lasts 13 minutes but the seller had already said that it didn't work well and I have other batteries.

Hope you are able to reformat the dogs life stick then , Have you tried the dogs life stick from your other Aibo in him to make sure it is just the stick that needs reformatting ?

Yeah, I put Boe's copy in Kin and he went into "Name registration" mode on the first try so I'm pretty sure it's a software problem. Also I did notice his copy of dogslife is on an 8MB stick and last time I tried to put dogslife on a stick that size it said it was too small to fit the program...

I wonder if I need a larger stick for my DogsLife program then.  I had a copy on a larger stick, and I sent it to a person from another forum who needed one.  I put a new copy onto a 8MB stick that I had.  I haven't had any problems yet.  How long did you run your 210 before you noticed a problem with the 8 MB stick?  Thanks!

I think that might just have been that one memory stick I have, it was a stickzapped one so that might have something to do with it. I noticed the problem as soon as I started trying to teach Kin his name, he won't respond to any commands having to do with names, there may be more things he won't respond to but I haven't found them yet. Maybe I'll post a video on YouTube showing how unresponsive he is.

I replaced his copy of dogslife with a new one and now he works fine though I haven't got him to register my name or his yet (he goes into registration mode but whatever I say afterwards he ends registration mode unsuccessfully). I also ran him on Recognition just so I could play with him while he was charging, I laughed so hard when he talked to me in the barbie voice.
