Lol I've looked into that

Its the shipping that kills it, almost $120 Aussie dollars just to ship it

(Some places charge $170

) And of course the US warranty isn't as long as the Aussie one, I think I would rather pay a little extra for the twelve month warranty. Although the US would be cheaper if it were sent privately I think, it would have to be snail mail though, international priority shipping is so expensive.

Hmm would a US Pleo have a US accent

Or if I raised it here would it pick up the local lingo

There is one on ebay right now for $100

Four days to go though, I will keep a close eye on it, if it goes for less than $300 I'll bid

Your idea of finding a pricier Pleo with a warranty is definitely a better one. But if the price is right.....

If it were cheap enough I'd be tempted lol, I just checked ebay US there is one for 99cents two days to go... I'll keep an eye on it

I would have to buy it for less than $150 US for it to be viable though. *kicks exchange rates* I wish I had known Pleo when $1 AU was buying $0.90 US

Can't wait to get the band back together! Domino has been practicing a lot and he keeps nagging me about opening a game stand with (of course) Dominoes to play with for the festival. I'll have to talk with Mweed about that one, but Domino will find a way somehow to convince me to do it!

If he speaks American, you can get a Babelfish and stick it in his/her ear and s/he should speak perfect Australian. Get two, one for your Pleo and one for you, that way you'll be able to understand your cousins from Up Above perfectly! Unfortunately, I couldn't find a reliable source of Babelfish on the internet. But if you run into a furtive chap named Ford Prefect you might get one from him. Or I've heard rumors that there might still be a few available at The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
